The place is very lovely and Trisha is fantastic. I couldnt come in the first night because of snow in Kendal, and Trisha not only didnt charge me for that night, but also found a room for my shifted stay. Compare that, for example with the Riverside hotel in Kendal who in the same circumstances, when my train was cancelled, charged me whole amount for all days and then didn't let me in even for the remaining nights. That creates a huge contrast. The room was very comfy, Trisha left supply of tea, coffee and milk. And put a very nice Christmas tree in the room. It's also less than 10 minutes from the train station.

My wife and I really enjoyed staying in this cottage in Burneside this May. Trish made check-in easy as she was away when we arrived. She was very helpful to advise us on great coffee and meal choices in the neighbourhood. She even fetched us a pint of milk while she was out to the corner market. (thank you, Trish).

The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The river side walk is merely across the road with a convenient bench to park yourself to read or gaze at the rolling grazing land beyond the river.

I found the location particularly convenient to travel to and from in all directions. Its an easy drive west into the heart of the Lake District. Plus, the road access is direct to connect with the A6 and then the M6 in either direction, north or south.

One could even reach this village by train as Burneside has a station with frequent hourly service on the branchline from the mainline in Oxenholme to Windermere.

Plus, is a not too far of a walk to the bus stop for the bus routes that go to Kendel or to the various favourite destinations among Fell walkers.

I just hope that I'll have another opportunity to stay here again on a future UK Holiday. It was definitely a memorable part of our visit to Lakeland.

Trish is a great host. We stayed 7 nights and found the accomodation perfect for our needs. We are elderly and this studio was in a good location for going sight seeing. We highly recommend.

Stayed 2 nights here. Trish was away but her mum was there to help us. If mum was anything to go by then Trish must be super sweet. Very helpful people. Accommodation was good. Location was good. Fabulous folder full of useful information.

Perfectly equipped little studio. It had everything you could think of for walkers including boot tray and drying cupboard! Great choice for breakfast, and the only place we found that has marmite?
