We first stayed overnight here in April 2024 and loved it that much we stayed again for a night this month while spending a few days on the Lake District. Nice room with a lovely balcony and comfortable bed. The staff are so helpful and friendly and the food was excellent especially the fish finger sandwich, battered onion rings, the steak and ale pie and the pork ( with a fabulous sauce and mash) and a lovely side dish. As an ale drinker there beers (all named after dogs) were excellent, especially the Shih Tzu. Very good breakfast as well. Well worth the money and well worth a third visit. Another bonus is plenty of of car parking

Second time we have stayed we had two room myself and my wife , My daughter and her boyfriend. Location is great large car park which is safe. Rooms are dated but clean everything you need. The staff are great and the food and breakfast is amazing. All the staff cannot do enough for you. We stayed for three nights and we didn’t have to wait a long time for food at all. Always hot thank you for looking after us all we had a great stay we will hopefully see you soon.

Can across this pub as another one was closed after 2pm for food.
So happy we did, ordered 3 sandwiches 3 drinks and can honestly say the food was hot, well presented and good value.
Would like to say a big thank you to the member of staff who found my mother in laws handbag which she left behind and we had retrace our steps to get back. We have now been back on another occasion and again the welcome was warm and the food just as excellent as before

I stayed at The Watermill overnight on my way up to Scotland in a single room. The room was quiet, cosy and comfortable. Ideal! I also didn't expect a smart TV, so that was a bonus! Staff were really friendly throughout my stay, and it was nice to relax in the bar with one of the pub's own beers after a long drive. Nice breakfast the next morning too! I'd definitely come back!

we went here for lunch...my wife had the sirloin steak which she said was succulent, and the onions crisp and delicious. I had the scampi accompanied by crispy homemade chips. We have been here on a number of occasions, and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

We've stayed countless numbers of times, the places is just so good! Set in the delightful little hamlet of Ings, it's a perfect place to stay/eat/drink if you are looking for a base near Windermere or you are just on your way to the Lake District. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained, food is excellent and the on-site brewery produces some of the finest real ales in the Lakes. There are lovely views of the surrounding countryside and a charming brook runs along side the property. It's also a cosy place to visit in winter. Staff are always friendly and helpful and overall. It's great value for money. Dogs are also welcome inside. We'll be going back soon!

We decided to try our first trip away with our young dog here and we were not disappointed. The room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Having a balcony was a real bonus and the view from it was lovely. The food was very tasty and there was always plenty of it. There was a good selection of drinks at the bar and the bar staff were always kind and friendly. As were all the staff we encountered. There was somewhere lots of places to walk the dog and I never felt like having the dog with us was a problem. Overall a great experience and we would definitely go back again.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, very tasty food. Bit of a wait but they looked busy and worth it for such brilliant food. Highly recommend the Watermill Chicken. We didn’t have puddings but I’m sure they would be excellent too. Went home full and happy!
