Ordered three times. Prompt delivery. Third delivery was of 4x250g bags had an issue. One mouldy/rancid smelling bag. Suspect the desiccant pack had been missed from the bag. No response to my issue, or request for refund.

Since posting this review Weston got in touch and resolved. Many thanks Weston Biltong. I’ll be ordering again for sure.

Best biltong we have ever eaten. I'm from the USA so jerky and biltong is a huge treat in our family. We bought 3 1kg bags and they didn't last a week. Melts in your mouth full of flavour. Will be back for more. Keep up the good work ?

These products are misrepresented
Lean and Fat Biltong because
When you compare the nutritional information
You will notice the protein and carbohydrate content is virtually the same in all the products (50g of protien 2g or carbohydrates)
Which means the only calories left can be from fat

And since all the caloires in the Lean and Fatty or higher fat biltong (290 per 100g) can ONLY be all the same!

If the fat is higher or lower it should be higher or lower in over calories. Obviously!

Since they are all the same it is grossly misrepresented.

When I mentioned this to the owner he got agitated and said “that’s my version, and they are taken as a fat average”

How can they be an average yet different, when they are all the same
Either it is lower fat or “lean” and lower calories or it’s not!

No neeed to get defence about it, and certainly don’t offer the. Choice on you packaging when there is no choice

290 calories per 100g on all
The ranges lean or fatty is 290 caloires per 100g.they are all
The same…and do not treat us all as idiots in your marketing,

There is only 3 caloires difference per 100g between any of your products…

Just because you have chose to delete the fat gram information on the “LEAN” biltong does not mean it’s still not in it by Caloire content.

I had an issue with my original order - they sent me the small packs instead of the big ones (5x 35g packs arrived instead of 5x 250g packs). I messaged them to let them know about the mistake, and the owner called me back on the same day to apologise, and he shipped me the larger packs which arrived a couple days later. So, overall I got 5x small packs for free, and had a very good experience with the customer service. I'm glad that they are so responsive and care about their customers' satisfaction. The delivery overall was very fast (I have had to wait up to a month to recieve orders from other, similar companies).

As for the biltong itself, I normally go for the fattiest biltong I can find because I like it as tender as possible, but while these packs are more lean, they are so incredibly tender, juicy, and flavoursome. The flavoured bags really pack a punch, and the biltong is not too salty either which I love. This is honeslty some of the best biltong I have ever had. Also, it is very good value for money when compared to other products on the market, considering the quality.

I can tell they really take pride in their biltong, and I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants high quality, delicious, and authentic biltong. They also have a great selection of South African products which I love, and will be exploring in the future for sure.

I'm very happy with my purchase, and will be buying from the Weston Biltong Company again!

I first bought their biltong (and maybe some dips, if I remember correctly) a good few years ago at a food festival (I do love a good food festival).
Since then, and partly in thanks to COVID (shakes fist angrily), I've also been buying direct online.
Whilst I don't like all the flavours - the quality of the product and the choice is right up there amongst the very best. When I meet the team I always get personal service and we usually have a little chat. Lovely people.
Keep up the good work and keep satisfying my protein needs for long to come.

I just received my bumper order of biltong and while the softness was perfect I would've loved a bit more fat especially since I chose the fatty option. Otherwise? The flavour is great. I got the sticky maple, rosemary and garlic and droewors (which were perfect). Another thing I do like is that the meat hasn't been excessively salted as well. Sometimes companies claim their meat is seasoned but all you can taste is the salt.
