A lovely evening. Staff were attentive, food was amazing and the ambience was relaxed. My birthday party of 6 had the 3-course set menu which was delicious, plenty of high quality choices and all home cooked. Paid extra for birthday cake which was home made with the finest ingredients. Highly recommended.

Tonight was to be a rather special event, a "Wedding Anniversary", so decided to go somewhere special for Dinner.|My Starter of Garlic Mushrooms was excellent, my Wife decided against a starter in order to leave room for Crispy Duck, while I ordered a Steak, hopefully "rare".|It did take some time to arrive but we were in no hurry, so no problem.|Her Duck was excellent but my Steak was very disappointing, it was TOUGH.|During the Meal I was hoping I might be asked the usual question "is everything all right", this did not happen.|Franky I could not cope so 75% was left untouched and when the plates were cleared I expressed my disappointment that the Steak was not rare and was very TOUGH!|I normally eat anything and do not like complaining in Public.|I was told the Chef maintained it was rare but no comment was made about it being TOUGH although in fairness I was offered another piece of Steak which I declined.|Sorry but it was too late, the problem could have been so easily avoided had the table been visited soon after it was served. basic service in a Restaurant|A very disappointing evening!

Outstanding! 3 nights solo B&B. Room on the south-east side, so cool in the afternoon / evening with windows open during very hot weather. Room 5. Well-planned use of space in both the bed and shower rooms. Super shower. TV, unused. Comfy bed. Courtesy tray of tea / coffee. Excellent range of food in the continental (weekday) buffet breakfast taken in the well-appointed Bistro restaurant (0730 - 0900). Happy to commend.

Had a really relaxing night's stay before embarking on our cruise. Dinner & then breakfast the following morning were fabulous! Everything was home made, fresh & cooked to perfection! We were made to feel so welcome. A great start to our holiday; would highly recommend!

Great place which was super quiet. Lovely couple who run it. Nothing was too much trouble. Continental breakfast was really good. Room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Bathroom was modern and super clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Had a wonderful lunch, bot the set menu and a la carte were very reasonably priced. Tell me where else you can get excellent restaurant food 3 courses for £28? 2 for £24.
They don't spank you with the wine list either. They were very helpful explaining dishes on the menu and all of our party of 5 had an excellent meal. This is cheaper than most pubs locally and a lot better food! Come on locals and visitors, you need to use this place
