I have been a member of the band in the past and have attended many concerts since. The variety of music and talent from this group of young people is fantastic.
I would highly recommend seeing them perform at their future events or if you enjoy singing/play an instrument why not join?!

I am a current member of the castleford young musicians. They are our family and very good friends. As a life member of 40 years in this choir. My son joined me after lockdown and became a member of the choir which he adores and enjoys being a part off. I have memories and life long friends who I spent making memories with on trip to Germany and Paris and Great Yarmouth and Scarborough and nearer home. Castleford young musicians is a part of our lives and plays a vital role in making friendships and enjoying making music together. As we say That’s what friends are for and has become my personal anthem along the way.

I have been a member of the Castleford Young Musicians concert band for just over 2 years now and still love it. My young daughter has just recently joined too and they are very accommodating to children of all ages. The band and choir are such a lovely bunch of people to be around. We play a wide variety of music and it takes us to different places for concerts. If you would like to join or even just see us in concert, you won’t be disappointed

I joined CYM back in 2008 and was welcomed in with open arms! Everyone is so friendly, caring and fun. It's the perfect way to spend a couple of hours on a Friday night and it's still a highlight of my week, 15 years later! If you like to sing or play an instrument, I can't recommend CYM enough. It's more than a music group, it's a family.
