How sad. This place has declined steadily for the past 10 years. No decent beer, no atmosphere! Total rip off bottled Sam's. No investment in decor or beer from decent breweries. Feels like slow death!

Traditional real ale pub, renovated over last few years with re-cycled materials giving snug, cosy feel with open fires. Great range of beers served from the wood and traditional ciders. Occasional music nights, usually Friday and open sessions on Sunday afternoons. No food, loud music or TVs. Pet friendly. Superb locally produced pickles, preserves and eggs can also be purchased. ?

Always look forward to going here with my dad when I'm in Castleford it's 1 of the few places I can get my favourite drink excellent staff and service along with a great choice of drinks

Good old fashion pub. Coal fire I'm winter. Plays darts. And doms. Nice pub.. Neil knows is alcohol. Got rewards for his beer
