Great quality, but I have found that the wires stop working on a very regular basis. I have to have them replaced every month or two. Would not recommend for the price you pay. Had less maintenance issues with my NHS aids and they were still OK, quality wise

Widex Unique 440 Limitation - Having used Widex complete with M-dex for several years I was persuaded by the provider to try Unique 440 which I found the sound is very good. However, due to the limitations of Com-dex I decided not to buy Unique 440. Here are my findings:
• Com-dex itself has no volume or sound direction controls but via a mobile phone. However, if the battery of mobile is run out there is no means to adjust volume or sound directions. There are several occasions I had to stop/interrupt others in one-to-one or group conversations to allow me to adjust volume or sound direction via my mobile which is not convenient or sociable.
• The mute function on M-dex is far superior than Com-dex. For example, I use M-dex mute when watching film on tablet on the plane which blocked aircraft engine sound completed. While Com-dex can’t block the sound COMPLETELY.
• There is also no on/off switch in Com-dex but by pulling the cord. This also apply to connecting and disconnecting between devices which is not convenient and easy to lose it.
• According to providers M-dex is not compatible with Unique 440. However, I found I can use M-dex for volume control but nothing else. Surely it would be useful to have M-dex compatible with Unique. I don’t understand why Unique is not compatible with M-dex but it is compatible with all other Widex hearing aids.
I hope my feedback is useful for the improvement of Com-dex as I am a loyal customer and would like to have Unique in the near future.
