A friendly welcoming pub.. we came to listen to the bands downstairs. A real mix but an entertaining evening.. a fun atmosphere .. not for the faint hearted. A very lively all girl band who put the music out there and seemed to be really enjoying themselves as we were.
Intravenous with their singer Sam Marlowe gave us some strong numbers

I'd come here only if I'm a fan of rock music. It's not surprising to find people dressed up in punk rock styles, or sick dyed mohawk hairs. That said, it's unfortunately not our style of bar. Given the many glares that we were also getting, clearly we also felt a little out of place, so we left shortly after.

Acoustic gig with EsOterica 18th December 24. Wonderful, intimate events room downstairs full of history. Fantastic staff. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome, James (?) the manager is a top man : helpful, accommodating, professional and friendly which reflects on to the staff, so chilled.
Prices for wine not overly steep either, bottle of house red £22,
Really look forward to another reason to visit this fabulous pub/events venue.

This pub is the place Joy Division (and lots of other famous british bands) played at a long time ago, and it happened we were passing by, no way we could miss it 🙂 Unfortunately it wasn't a live music evening so we only visited the ground floor, and it was a nice experience anyway. Lady at the bar was nice and friendly, beer was good, good experience overall.

Came in here after a gig at the assembly hall. Staff were efficient and genuinely looked like they were enjoying themselves. Everyone in the pub seemed in a fairly good mood and lots of chatting amongst different friend groups. Overall friendly, fun, live music pub.

Nice little pub round the corner for Highbury and Islington tube. Clearly an Arsenal fans pub. I went on a non-match day. Nice crowd. Ladies behind the bar were nice and friendly. IPAs - had Level Head on tap. I'd go again.

Don't make the mistake of thinking the giant croissants are just a big meal for one. They're a meal for 4! Despite their size, they were wonderfully cooked, crumbly and crunchy outside but soft and tasty on the inside

Popped in to see James and the team.....

One of the best pints of Guinness I've had, matched only by the Camden Head(another local pub up the road in Angel).

Lovely atmosphere with ska,rock and reggae in our ears.

Food was lovely also.

We will be back.
