We received the warmest of welcomes on a miserable rainy day. We were shown to a table next to the heater to dry out. The staff were all absolutely incredible so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was also incredible as well as the gorgeous chocolate & cherry cake. I can't recommend this place enough it's cosy and a real hidden gem in York. Will definitely return the next time I find myself in the area.

A lovely little veggie cafe!
It took us a while to decide our food choices because everything sounded amazing! In the end I opted for the Vietnamese banh-mi which was full of fresh flavours and the perfect portion size. My partner chose the special of the day which was a gorgeous sweet potato stew. If you're looking for wholesome hearty ingredients, this is your place.

The staff were very attentive and helpful too! Highly recommend!

We love going to Goji as it’s got a proper friendly independent vibe. Incredible portion sides, very good prices and very friendly staff. It’s a very casual (and friendly!) style of service, so if that’s not your thing you may want to try somewhere a bit more formal.
Their vegan brunch is lovely (great sausages and amazing potatoes!). They have a really nice hot dog that comes with a small salad that has a wonderful dressing on. Their hummus is lovely but does require a bit of self-seasoning. The flat bread is delicious!
Goji has a large variety of salads and desserts too. It is entirely vegetarian with a lot of vegan options, including different burgers and a cashew tart for example.
I would love to see a greater variety of hot food there in the future.
The perfect place for a relaxed brunch with some really good oat coffee

Goji is a lovely little cafe and deli on Goodramgate in York, so very close to top tourist spots such as the Minster.
It’s ages since I last visited and I only needed a coffee but I’m so pleased that I visited today.
I haven’t star rated the food as I didn’t order any but it all looked amazing with lots of cake choices etc on the blackboard (see photos).
The staff are warm and welcoming; nothing is too much trouble.
I don’t usually like background music in cafes as it’s often too loud but in Goji it was just right and a very pleasant surprise to hear classical music for a change.
Seating is on the ground floor with additional seating in a lovely little courtyard and also upstairs.
The cafe has lots of original artwork on display.
The toilets are up 2 steep flights of stairs so may not be accessible for anyone with limited mobility/knee problems.
Recommended if you love good coffee and gear cakes!

An excellent vegan and vegetarian cafe.The 4 of us are a mixture of vegan and non-vegans. The food is fantastic. We can recommend the Goji vegan brunch and we went back later for the vegan and vegetarian strawberry cream tea. The fruit scones were better than non-vegan ones - so light, fluffy and super tasty. Will definitely revisit.

Amazing service by all staff members, they are all very attentive. Lovely meal and I overheard a group of customers say one member of their party was celiac and the staff member was very knowledgeable on allergens and what was suitable on the menu.

Really happy as a vegan to see such a great option in York. Honestly so good.

Had the cashew cream quiche (comes with with two salads) and a side of sweet potato wedges which in honesty was probably unnecessary because it was only a lunch. The quiche and salad were both filling and unspeakably delicious. The pastry was great but the quiche filling itself was like... melt in the mouth but so well flavoured and hearty. I would have ordered and eaten it again immediately.

The salad is also really well flavoured, seems like basically any vegetable they touch turns to gold. Good sharp fresh flavours.

Honestly I could not recommend this more highly, will definitely be coming back.

Didn't take photos because I wolfed it, unfortunately. But it was also nicely presented.

They also gave a lot of dessert options but I only came for lunch. Will report back...

Visited for the first time yesterday, very impressed by the vegan / vegetarian menu! Really enjoyed the salad platter and the delicious cake ...it was really hard to choose, everything looked really fresh in the chiller, and very tempting! Staff very friendly.
