Had a big move from Essex to Cumbria and was so happy I chose Applebys! After seeing how much furniture and boxes were involved I got what I considered a very fair quote and they even kindly stored my things for a few days between me moving out and actually moving in! I was kept informed what time the van would be at my new house and the furniture and boxes were all unloaded and safely placed where I wanted them!
Can't thank Robert enough for making what could have been a really stressful time so much nicer from first phone call to the final goodbye! His helper was lovely too, sorry I forgot his name!
I would not hesitate to recommend a good, family run removal firm- near or far- that is Applebys!

5 stars for Applebys, used these people in July. They were professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We had quotes from 3 local companies around Clacton on Sea, Applebys were the mid priced quote. We were mucked around by the company with the cheapest quote, their tactics of hard sell for a non returnable & non transferable deposit when we weren't ready to commit really frustrated us. Bullying tactics regarding, no pencilling dates, no saving dates stressed us out unnecessarily. Applebys, brilliant, professional, approachable and top class movers. No worrying about dates, no hard sell, no non returnable deposit rubbish. In fact, as we were moving out of area, they suggested a two day move, collect goods one day, deliver another. As the property the other end was filthy, this worked well for us allowing a days cleaning. Both teams on each day worked very hard despite the scorching July heat. They didn't over estimate the vehicles they needed. They never broke anything. Totally unstressed, as it should be. Applebys might not be running around in brand new vehicles, and might not be sponsoring colchester football club, but we give them 5 stars. They are a hard working removal and storage company and they are trustworthy. Thanks to Dave and the team for moving us ☆☆☆☆☆
