All the tools I buy from classic hand tools are top rate quality. On the one occasion I had to return a product because of a manufacturing fault, it was replaced by return with a free return label for the damaged product. No questions asked. Always reliable and trustworthy. Good advice too if you need to ensure the product is right for your needs. They also source the best quality tools such as in specialist areas of carving - files, knives burrs etc, - the micro files from France are excellent for shaping detail and hard to reach places. It hurts to pay for any tool these days, but at least you can trust classic tools to supply a product that will last a life time if you know how to care for it.

This is a beautifully produced book. It is properly bound with hard covers and looks great. It is made to last for generations.It was despatched quickly and well packaged. Content is organised into short chapters with clear step by step instructions on what is required in terms of equipment and setup. There is information on sharpening optimally maintained saw plate as well as how to mange a neglected tool with many tooth faults. Cross-cut and rip saw configurations are covered and there are clear explanations of the technical terms that are often confusing.The photographs are high quality and clear. They link well with the text so that it is clear exactly what is required and how to avoid problems. Emphasis is put on practice before taking on a treasured saw. I have read many articles on saw sharpening and watched quite a number of videos. This is the clearest text on the subject that I have come across. For many years I have struggled to achieve a good result from saw sharpening despite a lot of time investment. I now feel that I am being guided along the right track. Thanks for a brilliant book which is now a treasured part of my woodworking library.
