Yesterday I went into the store looking for a kitchen unit handle and from the moment I walked into the store every member of staff were fab…
The lady on the front till was so helpful and although there wasn’t a handle for me used her local knowledge in pointing me in the right direction.
The gentleman on the shop floor was so helpful too in cutting down some screws for me to an exact length and giving me guidance and other advice for some cupboard maintenance helping me chose the correct product…
It’s fab local stores like Roses that make such a difference and they were so helpful even though it was the back end of their day… nothing was too much trouble!

Staff friendly & a good range of items ,
Unfortunately they are ridiculously overpriced, compared to similar shops , For example £14.00
For a item , another establishment £9.99 .
Same item same supplier, my Advice would be to shop around

We stopped in at 9ish desperate for 2 tiny screws to save a multi day cycling trip. We were served by someone friendly, knowledgeable, and intent on solving our problem. We left 15 mins later having spent £1.10 and had a screw cut to the perfect size. We've cycled 30 miles since and are so pleased. Great service, lovely shop with everything you might need.

If you want to be treated like your a strange person go to Roses and ask for a refund. It took 8 mins to get a refund done. The manger was called to come out to investigate and review my reason for wanting to refund Jars id bought days prior. The jars hadn't even come out of the bag. They still had the roses price stickers on them. But the sales assistant acted as if it was a strange request, asking to bring the jars back. She called out her manger who acted the same asking why do you want a refund. is there something wrong. we just wonder if there's something wrong with it why you want a refund. looking very suspicuse and unheard of. I had to explain why id bought them and that id found triple the amount of jars for far cheaper and I actually need more jars but it was quit expensive to get the amount I really needed same brand of jars by the way. They looked really angry and relieved it was because id found it more affordable else where. I don't recommend them by any stretch of the imagination. The level of crazy the manger and assistant attitude over asking for a refund just ruined the rest of my day. it was as if I had personally offended them. there are plenty of nice shops you can go to that aren't over priced too!

Brilliant shop with a million bits n bobs that you can buy individually, something rarely seen these days. Great staff as well, very helpful. Will definitely be looking there for those unusual bits that those big shops don't carry.
