Absolute joke. I took 12 small parcels into the post office today. Envelope size. All pre paid and pre printed. Just needed a scan and print a receipt. The so called post master refused..agreed to scan 1 or 2 and to take the rest somewhere else. I explained I'd got the bus down and never had any issues in any other post office. He rudely said take them there then. Got the bus to Kidsgrove and no issues. I'll be reporting this to head office. Avoid this shop

Just had the most amazing visit to this post office. The gentleman that served my wife and I really couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgeable about the services and products we needed. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to travel abroad. Thank you for all your efforts when serving us.

BE AWARE: Staff have always been friendly & helpful but postmaster has deliberately given me misleading information. Without notice, he refused to give me Proof of Posting for 8 pre-paid parcels saying that they were the 'new rules'. When I said I needed proof of posting in case I needed to claim for a loss he said that if I bought the label I was presumed to have posted the item. I disputed this, saying that RM required a photo of the proof in the event of a claim. He became annoyed at this challenge and said that if I wanted to print the labels at home at my convenience rather than buying postage at the post office, I should print a Bulk Certificate of Posting form on the RM website, fill it in and take to the PO with the parcels for them to check off and stamp. (It is only 3 years since I was told at this post office not to do this as it was quicker to scan the parcels.) I looked up these 'new rules' and they do not exist. He also told me that they do not receive payment for handling parcels with pre-paid postage. This is incorrect - they receive an acceptance fee per parcel which works out at £10-£20 an hour (depending on the speed of the operator) - not a bad wage by any standards. Have made a complaint to the Post Office.

27.10.20: The Post Office have upheld my complaint that his behaviour was incorrect and Proof of Posting should always be supplied when requested. They also apologised for the below-standard service I received.

Just been accused of stealing!! (I bought a card and box along with items to post and filled them out and queued to pay for them all together) apparently you can't do this but instead of politely drawing my attention to my mistake I got yelled at and publicly accused of stealing the card and box!!!! Never been so insulted in all my life. Will NEVER go here again

Really good post office, photo service for driving licence and passport is great, and the faster electronic passport service is worth paying for as your photo and application is done by the staff and its faster.
