Great night doing the beer & whisky pairing experience. Father & son outing. Our host Stephen was excellent very knowledgeable who explained in detail the 5 cask beers to taste along with accompanying whisky’s. The experience also included a meal & a tour of the microbrewery. Only the two of us on the experience this time but can be more people. Well worth the money for an enjoyable night out.

Had a lovely meal here, the building and restaurant was spacious clean and friendly atmosphere, we were shown to our seats straight away and offered drinks. The waiting staff were very friendly and quick to serve our food. Hats off to the best chef ever though - food came out super hot, so tasty and my eyes were definitely bigger than my belly i wanted to try it all, so tasty - even my fussy son eater eat it all! Highly recommend.

Went in for a pint at 10.30 on a Tuesday and they wouldn’t serve me because they shut the bar because there were ‘only 10 people in’. I know loads of pubs that would love to have 10 people in on a Tuesday night. The bar did t look shut, all lights were on.
Instead of just pouring me a pint and accepting my money, they just decided that was that.
One member of staff was sat at the bar with a computer could have served me but he couldn’t be bothered. Massively disappointing after a long day at work and I just wanted a quick beer or two

£18 for a rib….. dry and tough to chew. What a rip off. I expected a small rack of ribs that had been cooked in a sauce to make it moist…..
replaced by a macaroni cheese that was poorly seasoned and had a tasteless cheese.
I’ll not be dining here again. There are better outlets 2-3 min walk away.
and the waitress was too busy on her laptop and talking to friends to be really bothered. Fortunately the waiter was much better at service…..

Just stopped for drinks on a couple of nights and it was lovely. Staff are really brilliant and helpful. The beers are very nice and the variety was refreshing!
Board games available for kids (and adults!) to play with was very welcome.

I had a work Christmas meal here last night. On arrival, the establishment was crammed with so many people that there was hardly anywhere to stand or sit. It was far too noisy and busy to feel comfortable in, and people had to shout to one another to be heard.

The starter I had was mushroom soup, which was nice enough, but was supposed to come with toasted focaccia - which it did not for myself or anyone else from what I could see. After telling the young waitress this, I received an apology, but that was it - not even a deduction from the bill.

The main was venison and beef shin, which was very nice, although the portions, particularly vegetables, were severely lacking. One colleague had to wait for more than 10 minutes for their main to arrive, at which point most other people had finished eating.

The dessert was blackberry and prosecco cheesecake, which was basically just a vanilla cheesecake with some berries on top. Each course took far too long to arrive, with very delayed wait-times in between.

With an unexpected mandatory tip to pay, three courses that made up a sub-standard meal came to £32.94 (including the deposit), which I found shocking considering the quality and quantity of what was provided. My advice would be to go elsewhere if people are looking for good food, as well as service.

Went here with 5 other family members. Mac n cheese was fine, burger was good but steak frites was very overcooked. Calamari was not great. Service was slow and not attentive. Cool decor though. Burgers are a safe bet but rest of menu appears to be a minefield. Adequate at best, food nothing special.
