New deal as of 9th January 2025, £15 for a pizza from the adjacent pizza vendor, plus a pint. Works even on the £14 Mediterranean vegetarian pizza. The dropkick lager is very refreshing and the upstairs beer hall is very warm even in the dead of winter, well heated and well insulated with 2 TVs

Good bits:
Very good range of beers with a unique style.
Can highly recommend the dropkick lager and the blindside pale ale. Very unique and modern takes.
Warm and cosy upstairs loft even on a cold night. Rustic vibe.
Great stone baked pizza available across the courtyard.
On warmer evenings there is a large outside seated area with heaters and a dart board - although the heaters were not quite powerful enough to cut through a chillier evening.

An area for improvement would be there was zero vibe when we went on a Friday night between 6.30 and 8. Awkward quietness with just 2-3 other customers quietly drinking and talking in hushed tones. Just needed some background music on to create some atmosphere.

Some might notice the rugby theming being played up a fair bit in the names of everything and the decor and even the staff - which i thought was an unusual approach for a small taproom out in the sticks where probably not that many customers are going to be rugby fans - there was certainly no rugby fans in when we were there. Is it a rugby bar mainly for people who enjoy rugby? or is it a cosy local brewery taproom for everyone and anyone who enjoys good beer? (which, of course, might occasionally put a game of rugby on the tv). The rugby element slightly confuses the overall proposition for me. But I acknowledge there is a clue in the brewery’s name.

The quality of dropkick’s beers are outstanding and that is plenty enough of a theme to celebrate and unite customers around.

Despite my personal hang ups on the rugby sports bar vibe - I will be back!

Love the place, always try and pop in for a pint after a long walk on a Friday evening. Very friendly and welcoming and the beers are top notch, personal favourite is the Blindside but flavours for all types and the gins from the GK next door keep the ladies happy

It's a bit quirky as it is on a working farm, this said there is no issues and you do not have any disruption from the farm. My wife is not a beer/ipa drinker so it is great that they have Aperol or Prosecco available. The staff are great and welcoming and the IPAs etc are spot on, music is on most weekends so well worth a visit.

I have been down numerous times to the taproom for many sporting events from the F1 to the 6 nations.
Always a good place to be whether it's inside nice and cosy upstairs on the couch or outside on the tables in the sun.
Always lots of live music on and every so often their is some type of delicious food whether it be bbq or braii.
Delicious assortment of their own craft beers with a range for anyone's palate.

Can't recommend enough for anyone to get down. Best taproom around!
