Our first time at Eric Lyons in Knowle and the experience was superb! My son wanted to try the individual Beef Wellington but was sold out so one of the staff offered to make a fresh one but since it was going to be a small portion we decided to just take the Double Beef Wellington from the frozen section instead. The same staff said there should be some fresh ones on the shelf and came out to check but were sold out so again he offered to make a fresh one which was so kind of him as it was a busy Saturday. Tried it for the first time and the meat was tender and very juicy and the pastry was perfect. My son definitely enjoyed his first Beef Wellington!

Dan and his team were absolutely incredible providing a bespoke menu for my clients 10th wedding anniversary. The canapes, main and desserts were all divine and all the guests were talking about how wonderful the food was. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any other event you may have in mind!

Brilliant Christmas order! I live locally and was delighted to see I could order everything I needed for a Christmas away in a holiday cottage for two! I ordered two steaks, cheese selection, smoked salmon, mince pies and sausage rolls. Collection was easy and the quality of the food was amazing! Can’t recommend highly enough!

Home delivery.
I bought the chilli con carne and beef madras.
Just tried the first chilli con carne and ended up leaving half. Very disappointed. It just tasted like boiled mince with a few tasteless kidney beans. No peppers, no chilli taste at all. You buy in bulk so I have no option but to throw away the other three away. Quite a waste. I don't hold out much hope of the beef madras being any different, but we will see.

First time visit and so thrilled! I struggled to stop filling my basket. Pies, sauces, fresh chicken, eggs. I could of carried on. Regular visitor from now on!

I have only tried a couple of things from those I bought. The large pie was very meaty, between two people and there was a quarter left for my meal the next day. The chicken pie was OK, filling, but did not excite me. There are lots more things to try!

Lyons Butchers are fantastic! As a 5th generation family business, their experience and care are clear in everything they do. Last weekend, Dan and the team catered for our 10th wedding anniversary in a giant tipi tent, braving 60mph winds with complete calm and professionalism. Dan was a pleasure to work with—unphased and clearly an expert in his field. The food was delicious and the service couldn’t have been better. We’re so lucky to have Lyons as our local butcher!

Was really looking forward to trying a chicken pie for the first time this evening but am disappointed. The pastry was good but the chicken filling was quite minced up and had a strange taste - hope it hadn’t gone off!!
