Liked: Peaceful site, level ground. Good size pitches. Perfect weather! Friendly owners happy to endlessly change freezer blocks. Walking distance to station and town , although the co-op shop was quite a long way.

Disliked: In need of a proper washing-up area - washing dishes in the shower room sink not appropriate. Portaloos were clean and OK but I refer proper toilets.
Could do with some recycling bins, in place of some of the many general waste bins.
No Wifi and very poor mobile signal on my BT phone.

Liked: We stayed with a group of other families with young children. Plenty of space for the kids to run around and play. Good pitch sizes. Good location for walking to the brewery, steam train and a local park. Facilities were always clean. A washing station (cold water) was added while we were there which made washing up easier.

The children loved the badminton and games which were set up and accessible for all.

While we were aware there was only one shower/hot water sink at the time of booking, this did pose some issues with us being able to access these facilities due to being a large group. Shower was always clean.

Disliked: A toilet block and an additional shower/warm water sink would be a welcome addition.

Liked: Ideal for the Quantock Brewery, steam railway and Lethbridge Arms for Thai food which are all within walking distance. We love this site and keep returning. Always very friendly and helpful and a well kept site. We have everything we need in our caravan and we are not looking for a club house or toilet block so suits us very well and really appreciate the owners letting us stay at their site, thank you

Liked: Location - ideal for exploring West Somerset, Minehead and the Quantocks. Small site, fairly flat pitches. Friendly owners, helpful and let us pitch next to our family.

Disliked: Portaloos. Although the website states there are portaloos, this proved insufficient over a busy Bank Holiday weekend. We started with 7 working toilets and this soon fell to 5. By the end of the weekend, it was clear the system wasn't coping with the volume of waste, with units out of order and the handwashing water ran out. They were cleaned several times a day but with no hot water and running out of handwashing water, it became a personal hygiene concern.
No dishwashing facilities, we managed by boiling water but this was tricky in the rain. No recycling facilities.
It is lovely to see free range birds but this resulted in a high volume of droppings in the actual camping field which could be trampled into the tent etc.

Liked: Loved our second visit to this fantastic site, and it will not be our last. The most serene and peaceful place you could imagine.

We absolutely love watching the antics of the livestock, and other bird and animal life around the site.

Hearing the odd whistle of the steam trains from the West Somerset Railway is fantastic.

We loved it so much we stayed over for an extra couple of days.

The owner made us feel so welcome, we do not usually go back to places repeatedly, but we will no doubt be revisiting this site.

Liked: Basic site with portaloos and Outhouse for a shower. Everywhere very clean and the roaming chickens give a very rural feel. Staff were lovely and accommodated our early arrival. Great location for the Steam Train and Brewery.

Liked: Really lovely welcome from the owner who also allowed us to stay longer on the sunday as we were going on the West Somerset Railway and were going to be late leaving the site... I picked the site as its a 5 minute walk from the railway.. We also walked through the village and tried out a local pub.. 10 min walk, a Chinese takeaway and the local Coop all within a short walk... The facilities are great.. Clean and well stocked portaloos and a lovely shower block.. And a washing up area and all shower gel, shampoo, washing up liquid provided.. Quiet site and will definitely revisit sometime in the future

Liked: Lovely quiet site which is located within very easy walking distance (5-7 minutes) of the village. It was good to hear from the owner that they have plans for a toilet block in the future. In the meantime the quirky single shower unit on site was great.

Disliked: No wifi - although many will see this as a real positive.
