I have used this Post Office a lot over the years and must admit that, at times, I have been frustrated by waiting times or moaned about single-person staffing.
However, it is a busy area and queues are bound to occur, particularly if someone has a more involved query or process to deal with. I'm sure the manager is aware of customers' concerns with wait times and is doing her best to manage the situation.

Anyway, the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and very efficient. I have never had any issues with my passport or foreign currency queries and my many, many parcels have all arrived safely!

I also love the fact that they sell lots of other interesting things, like books, soaps and seasonal goods. My wife often comes in to browse the shelves, particularly at Christmas time.
We are fortunate to have the Post Office when around the country so many have closed due to the numerous pressures that they face.

Very helpful staff at Lymington post office. Yes, sometimes the queue does build up and this is because they give everyone the attention they need, and some transactions do take longer. Great banter created a friendly atmosphere which was lovely to be a part of.

Went into post office to renew my driving licence. The process is so much easier than online thanks to brilliant staff. Good selection of retail too.

Needed a passport application done quickly and found staff really switched on, polite and a great sense of humour. The shop was busy but they were so calm and in control. Fabulous people you need in a panic!

Terrible, rude staff and extremely unhelpful.

I went in to drop off 2 parcels booked online for royal mail, the woman behind the counter was very rude and told me I was making the post office lose money (why do they offer this service then).

A few days later I went in again and after waiting in the queue for a ridiculous amount (and one man walked out after waiting so long) of time the lone staff member called out the lady from my last visit to help her deal with queue, the lady then served me with an extremely arrogant attitude, as slowly as she could, while rubbing in hand cream (for so long that I'm sure all the cream had absorbed and reached her feet) despite the fact there were about 10 people waiting in the queue. Considering that same woman had told me just a few days ago that the post office is struggling for money i would think that she would make more of an effort to speed up service and be friendlier towards their much needed customers.

Today was the final straw leading to this review; I took in a parcel that was supposed to be picked up by DPD for Saturday delivery but I had missed the driver which I told the lady to which she rudely asked me how I know I missed him and maybe he was en route so I explained that I had a calling card from them saying they missed me. I then asked if I could buy Saturday delivery from them which she arranged however I have just seen online that the post office is a DPD drop off shop which she didnt bother telling me.

To sum up - incredibly rude staff, crazy long wait times and TERRIBLE customer service. Just sad, not sure what has gone wrong at Lymington post office but I hope they work towards fixing staff morale and work towards better days for their business.

When I arrived there were about 8 people ahead of me but the queue was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the two ladies. When I got my turn I received a friendly welcome and courteous and professional service. I have spoken to others whose experience was similar to mine. Well done, ladies and keep up the great work.You are a credit to the post office.
