I found Mercury Welding & Fabrication on Google when looking for a company to try and fix my (very) badly cracked alloy wheel.
After a phone call I dropped the wheel to Steve who tool on the challenge.
The result was that I now have my wheel back and fixed.
Steve is a true perfectionist who went above and beyond in the work he did. A great chap and also thoroughly interesting to talk to about his motorsport activities.

Went to Steve with a cracked alloy wheel. Absolutely fantastic service and quality of work. Wheel was welded straightened, painted and ready for collection the same day. It's rare to find someone this passionate and knowledgeable about his trade and I would not hesitate to recommend Steve for any welding or fabrication work you may need.

Steve was recommended to me by a friend. He did a really nice repair to a stainless steel towbar luggage rack, adding in additional welds to make it stronger than new.
Very knowledgeable, and a good guy to deal with.

We needed a cast Aluminium cam cover for a 1951 Sunbeam to have a crack welded up.
We were told a week for it to be done but got a phone call the same day. Very impressive but if welding on a very difficult material to work with. Not only was the crack welded but the bottom has been ground/filed/milled flat, Steve went above and beyond here

My wife and I found Steve on a search engine.We asked him if he could do a very difficult job of welding alloy petrol tank. We had looked at his reviews and they were all good so left him with it. I did not expect him to ring on the same day to collect it. When I saw the tank he had done a fantastic job. Steve is very informative and will be telling them not that he is just a nice bloke but his work is of the highest standard. I would not hesitate in recommending him to any one.I also know Steve and I will speak again about his cars racing career and put the world to right. Thank. you.

After a nasty surprise of a cracked alloy when having new tyres fitted, I found Mercury Welding and Fabrication on line.
After speaking to Steve who was extremely helpful I got my cracked wheel over to him. Steve said he would try to get the repair done hopefully later that day. I then got a call about 3 hours later to say it was ready to collect!!
Steve has done an amazing job and thanks to him I have my car back on the road.

Contacted Steve re: a cracked front alloy…had a friendly chat dropped the damaged wheel off on Thursday pm…he informed me it would be ready. to pick up Monday…not a problem!
A phone call came today to say it was ready so
picked the wheel up today ….fantastic job and a very fair price ..excellent service and would highly recommend.Thanks

I contacted Steve regarding a cracked alloy and he was very happy to help. He cleared his diary the next day for me and fixed the alloy to an excellent standard. He even tidied up the outside of the alloy for me which was a very nice gesture. I’d highly recommend Steve for his friendly and efficient customer service - will use again!
