Everything a community theatre group should be. The Panto was excellent fun. Lots of young people involved. They knew their lines, worked hard and seemed to enjoy it very much.. as did the audience. The Theatre is really nice.

What a wonderful local theatre!
I don't live in Lyndhurst but if I did I would be a member and supporter of this fabulous theatre, it's so friendly and the production I saw, Dancing at Lunassa, was of an excellent standard.
They take cash and card for tickets, drinks, and programs. They hold a raffle for which cash would be useful, although we managed by adding our program price to it on our card. I would suggest booking tickets ahead as it's intimate and if, like me, you travelled it would save disappointment if they had sold out, and I'm sure they do.
Not racked seating, apart from a small section at the back, but the stage is raised enough you can see everything unless they sit on the stage, which they didn't so I'm sure they take that into account.
Alcoholic drinks, non alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee are sold. I had a nice glass of wine and a lovely mug of tea and biscuit. Very sensible prices too!
Parking is an issue and if no spaces outside the theatre then you need to allow enough time to walk from town.
Showtime has changed and is now curtain up at 7.30pm, don't get caught out!
I'm definitely going back and will be looking at the season ahead, I may even attempt to tread the boards myself!

I spent a few years acting with the company. Herr Flick, Alec Ogelby, a murder victim and a policeman. It was always a thing to look forward to.
If you fancy having a go at acting, or just want to get involved with a friendly, local group then get in touch via the Lyndhurst Dramatic society. It beats an evening infront of the TV.

We thoroughly enjoyed their latest offering (Improbable Fiction). Looking forward to future comedies.

Great space for acting, many plays are put on through the years, and I recommend that you use this space for dancing or any other activities.
