Shame all that bad reviews from people that disrespected the company not followed the simple rules that is for their own safety... Absence, lazy or just felt that this place not for you.

My business partner and I first approached Rain 3 months ago to see if they could make a food supplement using quite an unusual key ingredient for us. After some competitor analysis and having tasted the ingredient in question, we decided it wasn't for us and went back to the drawing board. After much thought and deliberation, we came back to Rain with another idea entirely as they had been so helpful with us previously.

We gave Rain a specific brief in terms of ingredients our product must contain, the specific look and colour we wanted and also the specific flavour, and they began to work on making up formulas accordingly. We spoke to the Sales Executive that was handling our query a number of times, and we were surprised to learn they had no scientific background, training or capabilities, they enjoyed "throwing everything together and mixing things up" and relied heavily on Google research. Nevertheless, we were sent a number of samples which met our brief and decided we were happy to proceed with one of them. We asked Rain for a quote, and also if they could help us with the labelling, nutritional information and legalities - however we were told that this was not a service they could provide. Given that we hadn't been asked to pay for our samples, we assumed that asking us to carry out our own lab work independently was a cost saving measure on their part.

We appointed an independent Public Analyst and sent the formulation and the sample over to the laboratory for testing. Our appointed scientist was quick to get back to us to advise that one of the ingredients (also the most expensive in the formula) was over 2 million per cent of the Reference Daily Intake. We went back to Rain to clarify whether it was a mistake (and again to chase the quote we had asked for) - but instead they told us they owned the Intellectual Property rights! We went back to Rain hoping that there had just been a miscommunication somewhere, only for the Sales Executive to come back to us to tell us that the concept, formulation and even the flavour were her idea entirely!! We attempted to contact Rain a number of times over the course of two weeks to resolve the issue (and to chase up our quote!) but all calls and emails were ignored. We escalated the issue and emailed the Managing Director directly who also ignored us. Twice.

I leave this review as a small business owner. We have spent a lot of time and money on realising our idea (from web development fees, design work to lab costs), only for Rain to claim it as their own. I have given an honest account of our experiences in order to allow others to make their own judgements. If you are going to use them, please please please don't make the same mistakes we did. Ask them to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement before engaging in any conversation at the very least. They overstated their capabilities, lied about coming up with concepts and ideas and have cost us a lot of time and a lot of money.

FURTHER NOTE BASED ON OWNER RESPONSE:
1. The original idea was abandoned on the basis of taste alone. It was nothing to do with Rain’s capabilities, nor was it an attempt to copy a competitor product.
2. Re the final formulation. Utter nonsense regarding our contribution. We put together a specific brief after considerable market research. We actually removed a number of ingredients Rain suggested (through Google searches) due to incompatibility.
3. Re lack of communication. We fully accept that Rain contacted us on 30th November. However, they fail to acknowledge the number of phone calls & emails up to & including 4th December attempting to resolve the situation that they failed to respond to.
4. At no point did we ever approach any other supplier with the formulation. We continued to chase Rain for quotes up until the point it was clear they were ignoring all of our correspondence.

The fact that Rain are continuing to lie & misrepresent the entire situation, in a public forum no less, is laughable & unprofessional at best.
