Hanna was brilliant from start to finish. After having to move our wedding venue our original cake supplier couldn't deliver to the new venue and we needed a new cake - fast! Hanna was quick to respond and had no trouble creating our vision. We had a 3 tier cake, chocolate and salted caramel, white chocolate and blueberry and lemon and ALL 3 flavors were delicious! Our guests enjoyed them thoroughly and so did we. Thank you Hanna for all your help and delivering such a beautiful cake.

Hanna did the wedding cake for our day in September 2022 and was fantastic. The cake matched our theme and took on board the inspo photos I gave. Hanna was also great in doing two separate tiers as we had a few gluten-free/vegan guests and we wanted them to be able to enjoy the cake too.

It was delicious and we got a lot of compliments on how it looked and tasted.
Hanna also did some really cute biscuit wedding favours for us, which I love.

I'd also like to thank her for handling some of these requests quite last minute and still pulling it out the bag and smashing it. She's incredible at what she does.

We had Hanna bake a cake for our wedding day. And all I can say is wow, it was beautiful and she made it exactly how I envisioned it, the cake was just perfect! It was a shame I never got to taste any since my guest snapped it all up quick but they all told me how amazing it was and they absolutely loved it! I did managed to have some cake when hanna make a cake for my daughters 1st birthday and it was delicious! Safe to say none of that was left over either! Hanna made our beautiful wedding cake - so many choices with flavours, designs. Our guests not only commented on how beautiful our cake was but just how yummy it was. We opted for coconut and lime, orange drizzle and lemon drizzle. It was amazing and perfect for a summer wedding. Hanna is amazing at her job an we cannot recommend her enough. Thank you xx

EDIT: since my review, Hanna has posted on her Facebook that she is no longer taking 2025 bookings but it is not posted anywhere else. She is also not a recommended supplier for all of the venues she has listed on her website. I have also since found out she forgot to make a wedding cake for a bride in 2021 and the poor bride & groom had no cake on the day.

Unfortunately I have had a very disappointing experience with Hanna and would like to warn other future brides who may have booked her for 2025/2026 or are looking to book her.

I had booked Hanna for our August ’25 wedding back in Feb ‘24 after being told I would be contacted as I had previously reached out to book, but I had to contact Hanna myself but understood as she may have been busy. We signed our contract and paid our 40% deposit.
I received an email in July ‘24 (a year before our wedding) stating that our final balance was (incorrectly) due for our cake. I reached out and it was sorted however the initial wedding date was saved incorrectly, but mistakes are made, fair enough.

Hanna then posted on her social media channels that couples could order cake samples, I was not contacted for this considering I was a customer but fortunately I have access to Instagram where this was posted. I contacted to order samples in November then 4 days before collection, Hanna had to cancel the sample collection due to unforeseen circumstances and advised me that she would be in touch “shortly” to rearrange and to let her know if we were still interested in proceeding. I replied and asked when her next dates were so we could rebook but no response.

11 weeks later - January - with zero contact, I reached out to Hanna and asked when we would be able to order the samples and she replied quite abruptly saying she is not taking on any new orders as she is moving house with no where to go. No explanation of what’s happening with our samples, wedding cake or deposit. At this point, I was under the impression she had forgotten I was a customer. I was then told she could still do our wedding cake at her best friends house & she will contact us about samples “in a couple of months”. After much discussion with immediate family, we knew in the next few months we would not hear from her much like the previous 11 weeks so decided to cancel our contract with Hanna.

After sending an email requesting a refund of our deposit stating our reasoning for doing so, and having our first email ignored, we received a stream of extremely unprofessional and triggering responses from Hanna with no mention of our deposit monies back. We had no choice but to pursue the matter further but after some conflicting emails we managed to get our refund.

- Hanna said she would be using her friend’s kitchen to make cakes so it made us question whether the validity of the 5 star food hygiene rating would stand.

- Hanna ignored an email when we asked for our deposit back so we could be able to book another cake supplier, as anyone would know in the wedding industry top rated suppliers get booked up months in advance (but we were told “It is only February after all”).

- She also referred me as Natalie. My name is Natasha. Which clarifies she forgot I had booked her but she claims she got me confused with someone else.

- I have been accused of not understanding her situation, belittled by her and sarcastically wished that I don’t go through what she’s going through. What business owner talks to a customer like this just because they want their deposit back to be able to afford an alternative?

Please brides, if you have booked her or are thinking of booking HannasCakeCreations, be aware of what has happened to us despite her 5* reviews. We were fortunate enough to find another talented person to do our wedding cake with much better service and communication.
