We wanted some solid wooden shelving in an alcove that was complimentary to our existing furniture. Richard at Milkwood Furniture was extremely helpful, giving us ideas, but also listening to what we wanted to achieve. His professionalism, knowledge, explanation and patience were great. His expertise in sourcing the right wood and ensuring the colour was the right match was brilliant, (he even mixed two varnishes to get the colour the best match).
The shelves are solid, looking brilliant and surpass our expectations. We would recommend Milkwood 100% for excellent quality, expertise and great customer service.

Richard designed, produced and fitted a display cabinet at the foot of our stairs, along with a connecting bench seat. We wanted to use the space and he came up with suggestions and advised what could work, and what wouldn't. He was always professional and reliable. Very meticulous, showing great attention to detail. He carried out the project with very little disruption and left no mess for us to deal with after. We were left with an amazing, finished product, for which we are extremely grateful.

Richard did an excellent job with designing, manufacturing and fitting the desk and shelves for our home office. He was thoughtful, consultative and insightful. Really impressed with the service provided by Richard from initial contact all the way through to the installation. Very approachable and professional with various options discussed supported by photos and then regular updates provided again with photos as the shelves were being made. The project was not entirely straightforward as the shelving was on 2 walls of a listed building with strange angles and flint walls to contend with but we are delighted with the outcome and the shelves look beautiful. Highly recommended.
