Paid £130 for a double room which was OK only, the rooms are clean but looking a little dated , breakfast was very good .
On arrival late at night we were asked to wait because they were in the middle of serving evening bar meals so we ordered two small coffees and the staff followed us for payment , in the circumstances I thought a complimentary drink would have been in order ?

Person serving Sunday lunch was rude and obnoxious
Didn't wear a hat or apron and used the same knife on all three meats, also used the meat fork to dig Yorkshire puddings not good if you can't eat any of the meats ie pork or beef for religious reasons or allergic to pork. Spoilt what was a nice dinner to be fair. I definitely won't be going back however nice the food was.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and the one aspect that made me want to write a review was the staff. They were amazing! Friendly, professional and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they all seemed genuinely happy to help.
The room was basic but clean and reasonably decorated, though maybe a bit dated (wallpaper and furniture). Tea and coffee was readily available but the cup and teapot sizes meant that we were having to make 3 cups for every one we would usually have at home. Not a major problem but easily resolved.
Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.
The only real negative was the price. £130 a night was a little steep especially as it was out of season. I have stayed at many places around the country for a lower room tarrif with a more up to date room. However, as I began with, the staff were probably the best I've come across.

We called here for a sandwich and drink after a beach walk from Mablethorpe. The food was perfect and we were 'bowled over' by the quality of the house produced beer! There were two house produced hand pulled beers on the bar, we tried the weakest and it was a perfect traditional English beer. I get fed up with calling at pubs that serve nothing better than 'fake Spanish', flavourless lager beer brewed in Tadcaster. This place serves proper beer and is well worth a visit.

Feeling nostalgic in an old worldly hotel. The carvery was basic and food not well cooked. Nevertheless it was popular with regulars. Staff very friendly.

We have been to The Bacchus for drinks previously and the bar man was very welcoming and friendly and the drinks were great. It’s very cosy and comfortable in the bar so we decided to call in today for lunch. |It was the same bar man and again he was very welcoming and friendly. My husband really enjoyed the home brewed drinks and we were quite happy until the food arrived. I had the Bacchus burger which looked great but had huge chunks of iceberg lettuce and a slice of onion over half an inch thick. Once the lettuce and onion were removed it was just bread and nearly cold meat. The beef patty had a nice flavour but I don’t understand why it was only just warm. The same with the bacon, it tasted nice but was barely warm. The grated cheese didn’t even melt. There was absolutely no juiciness to the burger whatsoever. |My husband had half a roast chicken. It was very small and didn’t have the appearance of roasted chicken. The chips were nice though. |Nobody came to ask us if our food was okay so we ate some and left some.|We will come back for the cosy feel of the place, nice drinks and friendly bar staff but not for food. It’s a shame really as the place has such potential and a great car park.

We went for two nights and were very pleased with our stay, the staff were lovely, and the breakfast was awesome, the room was spotless and warm, lovely deep bath, very comfortable bed. Our dog was even given a sausage at breakfast. This was our first visit but definitely not our last.

We stayed for two nights. Our room was lovely, beds were so comfortable. We had a huge well fitted bathroom. Fluffy large towels. Breakfast room was light, huge windows with a view over the patio and garden. Food was fine. We ate in the pub, staff and food were good both nights. I would urge the consideration of a tab for guests staying in the pub, just for their convenience. Will be back
