Quite easy to get to and a reasonable amount of parking. Been here with my brother in his van (self employed builder) and on my own by car. Friendly and competent staff, a good mix of DIY products, and reasonable prices. Seems more geared to the trade as, whilst my brother got a trade discount, I did not when visiting on my own.

Very disappointing ,
Terrible customer service and substandard quality.

the workmen were not the greatest and thankfully we had our ringdoorbell which recorded their unprofessional behaviour on our property including breaking into our porch key store to demonstrate that they aren’t safe .

The work was shoddy and after a year was leaking damaging the ceiling below .

Contacted Wickes as it was under warranty , several weeks later and lots of emails from us for them to say grout isn’t covered in the two year warranty .

Please never use Wickes unless you want the trouble we had .

We're currently on four months without a completed kitchen and no-one at Wickes Maldon seems to acknowledge or address our concerns. We currently have worktops and cupboards which are damaged. Parts of the order have turned up incorrectly and some not at all. The delivery team caused damage to our hall and the pavement and regardless of the countless complaints, no one seems to care. We get initial emails feigning concern but nothing seems to be done. There seem to be several issues with the products - such as not having suitable trim for the splashbacks, and the splashbacks not matching the worktops. Whilst this was 'rectified', we still do not have our upstands or tiles installed.
When we email with concerns, they are ignored. When we emailed a complaint, it was apparently 'lost' and fortunately, we were able to talk to a member of customer services who just so happened to ask if we were happy to mark our incomplete kitchen as 'complete'. Been told not to use the electrics whilst the kitchen is incomplete as it's dangerous, yet have no urgency in rectifying the matter.

On our last call with customer services, who have been helpful, the team member was bemused because the report from the store acknowledged the problems we've flagged but they then say there's nothing they can do about it. His reaction says it all.

Utterly ridiculous and wish we'd gone elsewhere. Would avoid using Wickes for your kitchen installation at all costs.

Called in to get some bonding. Forklift truck was in area I needed to go.
I asked twice to two different people to go into area as they suggest !!
So they knew I was waiting.
They just left me standing around for 20 minutes.
As I walked out lady said sorry !! Not I will get someone to help.
Well you lost a sale and any return to this store.

FAR! FAR! BETTER SERVICE AND NICER PEOPLE THAN WHAT YOU WILL FIND IN WICKES!!!!!!

Purchased a patio door from this store. Builder installed the frame and the slave door but when we opened the master door it had different hinges in different location to the other side. Went to the store immediately and spoke to the manager Amanda. She advised it is a known issue so refunded the money for the master door and advised me to source my own hinges to hang the door. This would mean unsightly holes left on the outside of the door so do not want that. I asked for my money back on the door or for them to sort it out by supplying the correct door. Again Amanda advised there is nothing she can do and instead she will give me the supplier details to sort directly with them.
I insisted Wickes deal with their own supplier and resolve the issue. She took my details down and said she will be in touch. I am still waiting for them to get back to me and in the meantime sitting with a large hole in the back of my house
I contacted customer services who advised all they can do is e-mail the store.
I understand this is a manufactures fault but it is a Wickes supplier and should be dealt with by them as standard customer service.

Ordering 10 x 100-litre bags of wood bark from Wickes DIY felt like a breeze – just like prepping a first-class cabin before a long-haul flight! The online ordering process was seamless, and the delivery service was spot-on. Within 48 hours, the bark arrived, with tracking updates as reliable as checking the seatbelt sign!

The real highlight was the delivery chap – an absolute gem, polite and chatty, much like the perfect cabin crew member on a long flight who knows how to make the journey pleasant. He wouldn’t let me lift a finger, not because I’m ex-first class crew and used to first-rate service, but because he didn’t want me to get my clothes dirty – how thoughtful! Those bags were as soaked as a rainy day in London, but he single-handedly unloaded them into my carport.

It felt like I was being treated to a bit of VIP ground service right at my door! If only every DIY delivery could come with such care and charm. Overall, top marks to Wickes for both efficiency and for staffing their delivery team with such lovely people.

Good access, well stocked & large selection of products. My only annoyance is that the disabled bay/bays are unclearly marked in the car park - you could see the outline of just one but because it was faded down one side a car had parked so you couldn’t get a wheelchair to the passenger side if you drove in. Also the sign said ā€œDisabled Drivers Parkingā€ with ā€œbadge holders onlyā€ in smaller print underneath. I feel there are some people who would take this literally and have a go at me & my carer for parking there because I’m not the driver of the vehicle but the passenger, yet we still need the extra access disabled parking bays provide & I have a valid badge.
