I'd love to be able to recommend this company, but I can't. I bought a Honda HRX476 from them in late spring 2024. The sales advice was fine.....
A few weeks after purchase, I had a problem with the mower not starting. Apparently, not covered by the warranty and I was charged about £80. Ever since they got their hands on it, I've had a problem with the fuel system - stalling on idle and when the blade clutch is engaged.
One of the attractions of this mower is that it comes with a 7-year warranty, as long as you have an annual service. I duly booked it in for a service (not cheap at £160) and was charged a £35 non-refundable deposit. I mentioned the problem with smooth running and that the problem had only started AFTER they had worked on it previously.
A couple of days later, I received an estimate. Another £57 for a fuel system overhaul, PLUS the cost of the service, a total of £228 including VAT. I also have to mention that the way the estimate is constructed is somewhat confusing. It's very difficult to see how their figures add up to the total amount.
Bear in mind that this machine is less than a year old and has been used barely a dozen times - yet still NOTHING is apparently covered under the warranty. Oh, and on their recommendation, I use a special fuel, also expensive.
I could have bought the mower on the internet and paid a lot less, but I decided to support a local business. More fool me.

Absolutely amazing service. I called ahead to speak to someone about the Honda lawnmower they stocked and spoke to Rob. He was super helpful and told me he would have the mower fuelled and ready to go when I arrived.

An hour later and everything was as expected. Rob was with another customer so Stephen was on hand to answer all of my dumb questions. Having never owned a petrol mower before I had a lot to ask and Stephen took the time to answer with so many brilliant tips and details. He even sorted the 5 year guarantee to save me the hassle.

Rob took the time to say hello in person helped me to the truck and made sure it was secure.

I am so happy with my new mower and I cannot recommend the team at John Miller in Corsham highly enough. Truly exceptional.

Absolutely zero communication relating to an online order I placed to then receive a refund with no explanation of why my order wasn’t processed and the refund given.
Do not recommend nor will I give them my time or money again, shocking service!

I'd definitely recommend John Miller Machinery because when it became apparent I had purchased a robotic Segway mower with insufficient capacity for the size of our garden, Steve immediately offered to swap it for a larger machine with only the difference in price, the postage (I am in the Highlands) and a modest admin fee to pay. An example of outstanding customer service.

Just brought a new mower from them and Rob the sales manger was so helpful. I talked though in detail on what I wanted (even after my 3rd visit) and they showed me the mowers that would suit my needs and never tried to over sale a more expensive machine and when delivered had a detailed showing on how everything works. Great service and I am so so happy with my new mower. Can highly recommended them.
