Lytham is a part of Lytham St. Annes but is a little village away from the main town of St. Annes. Lytham is famous for it's white windmill on the sea front and Lytham Hall. Both locations have become well known for their music events and Lytham itself for it's festival. We think it is a quintessential English resort from a much gentler time. Maybe that's because of it's older residents and lack of high rise developments. It's very pretty and quaint. If your looking for a relaxing trip out, I can't think of anywhere better. There are so many places to eat, walks to be enjoyed, the seafront to relax by and if you need more, St Anne's itself is minutes away with shopping, the pier, the beach. At the end of the day, that's old saying of a picture paints a thousand words is so true. The photos say more than I can write.

Lytham St Annes is a super place for a long walk on the beach, its a great place just to unwind, watch crufts for a while ( so many dog walkers ) and finish off at "The View" chippy for brilliant fish 'n' chips. Then head off to Lytham for a spot of sophisticated people watching at the many street cafes. Or visit the amazing "Whelans" for another great fish n chips restaurant. I come here often from Bury, its just a brilliant day out, so tranquil. Id recommend this place for anyone needing a great day away and some much needed fresh air!

Great evening at the St Anne’s kite festival. Fairground on the beach, stalls on the promenade with firework display as a spectacular end to the evening. A great family day out.
