4QD motor controllers are the best. However, from time to time you may get a problem. The chances are that 4Qd have seen the problem before and it will be on their comprehensive fault finding pages. My problem was a moisture over winter. The PCB needed cleaning of deposits and a waterproof lacquer was then applied. 100% perfect again!

I have fitted a pro 160 controller to a friends locomotive which is using a 12v dc series wound motor. The support given by Steve at 4QD was excellent. It took me several attempts to get it working with e-mails and phone calls with Steve

Excellent customer support. I had a bank of their old battery condition meters - which have now been superseded by a better but larger model. I wanted to keep using the old ones because I they fitted well into my little unit. However after several years of (literally) continuous use, some of the LEDs had failed to light. I wasn't sure if this was fixable, but they replied to my query by return of email, and posted out some new LEDs for free.
I am only a small customer of what is only a minor part of their business, but I was impressed by their willingness to engage and help me, and by the speed of their response.

Their cable is perfect and properly matched to the connectors, which assemble with ease. I am very pleased with the performance, features, and safety of the DNO 10.
