Went in to look at the sizes of the Keela fleece and purchased the Genesis jacket. What a product windproof, waterproof lining also highly breathable & made in Scotland

There are no longer any decent outdoor clothing shops near me so I searched the web. W Slack had the Keela jacket I was after in stock at a decent price so I ordered online. The jacket came quickly, was well packaged, fits well and is great quality. Delighted. Just wish the shop was close by so I could visit in person...but then I might end up buying far too many lovely things lol.

This is the closest (40 miles) stockist of Paramo clothing that operates the Paramo Recycling scheme. W Slack and Sons have an extensive range of Paramo gear and some quality other brands as well.
They offer knowledgeable advice and help you find the right equipment for your needs. Well worth a visit if you can get to Mansfield.

My wife and I have bought several items from John since we relocated to Derbyshire a couple of years ago. It's great to be able to talk to someone who knows the kit through use and is interested in getting you the right stuff rather than the fashionable. Buying online never quite does the trick when you're looking to properly invest in your outdoor gear so it's great to be able to pop in for a chat and advice then walk away with what you need.

Purchased another pair of Meindl Dovre Extreme, always come back to these guys as the service is amazing. Had an issue with a bubble in the rand, they contacted Meindl and replaced the boots. Highly recommended.

W Slack and Sons Mansfield only a few miles away from where I live . It is a treasure trove of VERY high quality products .

After speaking to the owner John Slack and listening to his invaluable knowledge and insight into the products he stocks I am over the moon with my purchase.

Again as you are probably aware the UK independent high street shops are struggling.

In John Slack you have one hell of an asset to Mansfield and the surrounding areas .
