The two museums being in very close proximity, Hurricane/Spitfire & Manston Airport, makes this a thoroughly enjoyable few hours and at the price is an absolute no brainer! It's a real chance for grandads and grandmas to involve the next generation of young adults, to give them context and put flesh on the bones of yarns passed down the generations.
But please don't take my word for it. Go and enjoy these trips back in time. Oh, and I should mention that each museum has a reasonably priced café area.

A range of beautifully preserved aircraft and other artefacts from the days when RAF Manston was operational. The entry fee is modest and you can pop across the car park and visit the Spitfire and Hurricane Museum for free.

Pretty little museum, very diverse collection with lots of nice exhibits, I liked the Victor cockpit section, on the other hand, most of the machines outside are in a dire state and need some TLC. Seeing a Lightning in such a bad state broke my heart.. Mind you, this is no critique, I am very much aware how much it costs to maintain these birds. This museum is in need of money. Go and donate! I wish this gem of a museum all the best.

We've visited many times over the years and always enjoy ourselves. We pop into the Spitfire memorial 1st then walk over to this museum. My children love looking in the various cockpits and walking through the air raid village and quite often on school holidays there is a quiz or some such to complete. Overall a great morning out.

Was on my way for a hike by the White cliffs in Kent when accidentally saw the museum and detoured. It was definitely worth it! Very well kept and maintained, with a clear route throughout the whole facility. Last but not least, we were greeted by some of the most friendly, professional and informative (elderly) staff members that totally made our experience great overall.

It was a very hot day. It was very fascinating seeing the planes and all the equipment on display plus all the photographs. Not expensive to get in. Took a good 2 hours to get round. Directly opposite is the Spitfire and Hurricane Museum which is free and smaller. Both museums have their own cafe.

Outstanding museum, well laid out, very interesting exhibits and great fun.

Some stunning and unexpected lego models, along with parts of actual aircraft.

Highly recommended
