Whilst I enjoyed going here, I’m beginning to dislike all big cafes as they are so impersonal and don’t take feedback well. I enquired about vegetarian options a few months back as there was so little on the menu. They didn’t appear to want to change that. I’ll not go back, stick to local, smaller coffee places that offer you as a human first. Shop itself is great and I have given this a 3 star as I enjoy browsing and find good items in the main shop

You need to go the cafeteria, the food was amazing. We couldn’t fault anything. The staff were lovely and friendly. I would recommend their chicken and chorizo toastie followed by delicious lemon cheesecake. Can’t wait to go again.

Run by absolute morons. Couldn't exchange an item because it was bought via click and collect, we have been told we have to wait 5 to 7 days for a refund. Instead of just swapping it for the item we wanted. Returning customer now lost.

The worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life.
The shop overall looks untidy and unorganised. I wanted to buy a voile and the ones on display were all very dirty and dusty, looks like they have been there since the other century.
The worst bit however was this lady at the checkout. We wanted to buy the baby picnic set of two chairs and a table and on the display the highest price tag was £14, so I just assumed that it was &14. I asked the shop assistant at the checkout to let me know what the price was and she said £45. I told her that on the whole display there was no such price tag and that it is very misleading and is putting their customers in very awkward situation, as you promise your child to get it as you are thinking it is £14, and then you either have to tell them that you are not buying it and face a tantrum, or swallow the price. Instead of apologising and saying, yes, I do agree with you and I will ensure we rectify this situation to avoid this happening again, she started arguing with me and say it is my fault I didn’t check the item code on the label. 🤦‍♀️ all they had to do was to print another label

The worst Dunelm I’ve been in, very brand damaging doing stock moves during opening hours, you could barely move down the aisles amongst all the trolleys that had been filled with what was being moved, and then other aisles were so bare. Then at the till a really long wait with only 1 till open while 2 other colleagues were doing other things in that area

All in all, a very satisfying shopping experience. Very helpful, knowledgeable and professional staff. Nothing was too much.
We couldn’t find the exact piece of furniture in store. No problem, no fuss. They ordered it for us online, including free delivery. Arriving within five working days.
They have a wide range of good quality products for sale. At a more than reasonable price. The shop has to floors. Lift for customers use if you don’t want to use the stairs. The cafe is upstairs, can’t comment on service or quality as I was running short on time to try it.
We will be back sooner rather than later. 😀

I went to Dunelm in Maidstone to pick up an item which was not to my satisfaction and returned it straightaway. The lady at the counter said their wifi was not working so she was unable to process a refund. TOTAL SUM DUE £14.00. She spoke to her manager and the two promised a refund by last Saturday evening. Todate the refund has not materialised and its impossible to speak to anyone in Dunelm. The phone rings : press 1 for collect and 3 for anything else and the phone rings several times, no one picks it and I get disconnected. They might be busy but I just want my refund processed. This seems to be a regular thing with Dunelm. How do I get my refund! Seems to be a pathetic service.

Wonderful store with ample options for homeware products at reasonable price. Ample parking space and store neatly maintained for public safety.Always a meet and greet person at the entrance to cordially welcome.Ordered most of our home furnishings from this store and their service both instore and online was brilliant.
Special mention about Laura in curtains and blinds section who is always very friendly and courteous while giving best tips for customers in making right choices.Colvin, who does the “made to measure” fittings of curtains and blinds did a brilliant job and a very friendly guy.
