Brilliant welding course, I did TIG (steels and aluminium), very noticeable improvements in technique and appearance of my welds! Highly recommend Bob for anyone looking to learn or increase their welding skills!!!

I had an introduction to welding last night. I have never done anything like it before and have always wanted to learn. Rob at The Machine Shop was very patient with me and after listening to my ideas and reasons started me off with TIG welding. I found the time spent to be great value and worthwhile. I highly recommend The Machine Shop to anyone looking to pick up new skills or for a place to work on projects. 10/10

Bought the bike servicing session and the guys could not have been more helpful. Did a full service on my Triumph (to be honest they did most of the work while I 'observed') and I found it a fantastic learning experience. I would definitely not have tackled this without their guidance, but would be confident now to do it myself next time. I would recommend this business to anyone.

Needed help with a small job that I’d failed to do myself due to inexperience. Bob was very accommodating and got me sorted in no time. A good honest business that I’d love to be closer to home so I could work on some projects.

Visited for a 4-hour welding session with Bob. Neither my brother or I had any experience in the area but after 4-hours we feel comfortable enough to get some equipment, a bit more practice and finally attack the bodywork on some overdue classic restorations.

Bob had a great balance of instruction and guidance and everyone around the shop was friendly and welcoming. If I lived closer I'd definitely consider a membership for all the equipment on offer for sure. Definitely recommended!

Went to the machine shop with my son to powder coat two bike frames that we’re building up. Bob was amazing nothing was to much trouble he help all along the way to make sure we got the best job possible my son loved it so much he couldn’t wait to go back every opportunity that we had the bikes turned out amazing and we’ll definitely being going back to the machine shop for further projects so if you have anything you need doing give Bob a ring and I’m sure you’ll be happy you did it’s definitely the place to go for all your projects can’t recommend the machine shop and Bob enough

I took two welding classes and a build a stove class and frankly, I couldn't be happier. I had no experience of welding prior to the sessions and I've left feeling capable and keen to do more.

I was simply aiming to be good enough to not be a hazard, but Bob made sure to provide the time and impart knowledge where needed and was able to cover both Mig and Tig in a day.

I'll be going back in the nearish future and for reference, the shop atmosphere is really welcoming and everyone seems happy to help each other on their projects. I've gotten really awkward around people over the last few years, but everyone was really friendly and I actually found chatting easy for a change. Very refreshing and a truly unique place for gaining more confidence and skills.
