I'm still confused with the what took place but to summarise, i placed my custom order for wooden speaker stands on Etsy. After a couple weeks, the stands were apparently ready to be shipped but bear in mind i requested pictures of the build and they were never sent to me (which i found strange as the seller, Nigel was quick to respond to my other requests). One collection attempt was made by Parcelforce and no further updates on shipping after that failed attempt. Repeated times i had to proactively chase Nigel over 2 weeks to try and understand what happened and when i would expect to receive them. He was unable to provide any proof the stands were even made when i questioned him about this nor provide evidence that Parcelforce were to blame for the delay. He constantly gave me contradictory updates, blaming Parcelforce for the issue and promised delivery of the stands but this ultimately never happened. When i rang Parcelforce to validate his story (apparently there was a weight issue that had been 'resolved'), they were unable to which makes me believe they were never made in the first instance. I eventually got a refund after opening a dispute claim and to this day, the tracking number shows no update. You can see for yourself by visiting the Parcelforce website; tracking number HA3799616. How two heavy 1m wooden speaker stands go missing is beyond belief. Purchase with caution, or better yet, don't purchase at all!

Bought a pair of oak speaker stands from Nigel and I could not be more pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of the product. Nigel was able to fine tune the specifications I wanted and also to advise what would work well. Great communications and updates. Definitely worth 5+ stars 🙂

I ordered two bespoke black oak finished plinths from Nigel to place under my speaker stands. I wanted to bring the tweeters nearer to ear level & provide further isolation from my floating wood laminate floor. The resulting improvement in SQ was significant. Nigel’s service is first class along with the quality of his workmanship. His prices are considerably lower than his competitors. Nigel is so helpful & I can fully recommend him.

Nigel was great - clear communication and everything went very smoothly. As for the platform, he’s a true craftsman and its shows in his work. The wooden platform he made for us with a white coloured transparent wax is stunning. What is so lovely about it is it’s unique - it’s handmade. Where else can you get something so functional and lovingly crafted. It’s improved the sound of my new Ruark R 5 significantly.

I bought a pair of 80cm oak speakers stands. They were competitively priced; if you check out hifi specialist sites you can spend huge amounts. They are well made, sturdy and look really good. I was able to specify shade, edges and finish. The service was great, responsive and helpful. Overall, I am very pleased and would recommend the Lincolnshire woodworker. Photos show un packed and in situ.

Nigel built 4 oak plinths to replace glass shelves in my hifi rack, They were all bespoke dimensions and finished in a beautiful 3 coat dark oak stain. He even sent samples for me to choose the colour from. Even though he had various family crises to deal with, Nigel finished the plinths and couriered the items in 5 layered wrapping with no dings at all. Overall a very skilled craftsman with bags of integrity, to be commended.

Could not be happier with Nigel’s work. We found him on Etsy but had some bespoke requirements which were handled really quickly and professionally.

We ordered a cabinet for our cloakroom The build quality is exceptional and made to our exact measurements together with some extra pieces.

When there were issues with the delivery company, Nigel sorted everything really quickly to make sure that the cabinet arrived on time.

Would 100% recommend and will order again if we have any more requirements in the future.
