Postern Hill Campsite - Marlborough

Liked: Absolutely beautiful place, plenty of space. Lots of wildlife running around your feet. Easy ish walk into Marlborough through the woodland down the hill into town. Lovely people running the site.

Disliked: I can’t find any dislikes but if I had to list somthing it is :
No taxis local really not that it is the sites fault but bit of a walk back up the hill if you go into town. Luckily a local gentleman took us back up the hill. No showers either however it was stated and beggars can’t be choosers.

Liked: Perfect for direct access to Savernake Forest with its magnificent ancient trees. Avebury stone circle also nearby and we loved the Beam Engines at Crofton.

Disliked: Toilet block showing its age. Clean but small, cubicles were very compact and there were no disabled facilities at all. No showers on site.

Gorgeous surroundings and a warm welcome. This was our second visit and during school holidays so much busier than our last trip. We still had a lovely time. So nice to walk in the forest and amazing to see the tiny bats come out to play as the sun was going down

Liked: The peace and quiet surrounded by woodland.
The toilet block, although an older style, was well looked after, very clean and well stocked.
It was a pleasant walk into !Marlborough for a pub lunch with plenty of choices.
We liked the notices around stating that dogs should always be on a lead, and that it was enforced.
The staff were welcoming and well informed, we will definitely be back.

Disliked: There was no shower block but this is well documented on the website.

The campsite was really nice, friendly staff - it was no problem arriving later than the official arrival times, just needed to communicate with the staff.

Facilities are clean, overall nice and friendly place.

Unfortunately there are no showers, but perfect for a short overnight stay.

Liked: What a lovely welcome at reception, very nice lady introduced me to site. Facilities were clean and adequate. Lovely walks in the woods. I will definately stay again, shame theres no showers as would stay for longer if there was. Had a lovely time. Thankyou!

Liked: Peaceful woodland setting. Lots of space. Woodland footpath to Marlborough. Friendly helpful staff.

Disliked: Showers would be useful. Needs glass recycling bin. Disliked 'No ball games sign' , a dedicated ball games space needed perhaps

Liked: Warm and friendly welcome from the wardens. Lovely leafy site without rigid pitches mapped out giving choice where to pitch up and hook up.

Disliked: Tv reception poor
