UPDATE: Editing my review to reflect the last few months of trials and tribulations. Ultimately, Marlborough tried twice to send me my tiles, but unfortunately a completely inept FedEx just couldn't seem to get them to me in one piece. That said, Marlborough was quick to make every attempt to rectify, including offering to try and replace them a third time. When we agreed it might not be worth it, they were willing to issue me a full refund. While I wish it could've worked out as the tiles I did receive that were usable were beautiful, all in all their service was helpful.

I placed an order with Marlborough on May 15th, and since then I have received nothing but extremely delayed responses if anything at all. Once I submitted payment I had to reach out for confirmation of receipt but received no details around what the post-purchase process looks like. I recognize there is a lead time to preparing the tiles, however I was told 2 weeks ago (after several reach outs for an update on lead time) that my order is ready and would be shipped by end of week. 2 weeks later, I’ve reached out twice for any sort of update as the tiles, to my knowledge, have still not shipped. And I’ve received no response from Marlborough. I do not doubt the quality of the tiles will be amazing, but given the customer service post-purchase (this is a $1,500 order) has left me deciding if I want to just cancel the order and request a refund. I’m not sure I’d get a response either way.

Last year we were carrying out a complete renovation of our Grade II listed thatched cottage and were looking for some artisan tiles for our new kitchen. I could not find what I was looking for until somebody recommended Marlborough Tiles. I visited their showroom and production site in Marlborough where I was able to view an excellent selection of handmade tiles. Grace was very helpful and allowed me to take away a selection of samples (without charging me unlike some places !). We subsequently placed an order for the Beachcomber range with a crackle glaze finish which were perfect for our new kitchen. We also needed the tiles quite quickly and they made a special effort to have them ready within two weeks. In summary, an excellent product and superb service. How I love Marlborough tiles! Their HQ shop is great where you can even meet the makers of the tiles and they take great pride and care with their product. They have *artists*, real proper artists, hand-decorating the illustrated tiles with gorgeous birds and botanical paintings. Those involve in the firing and coloration take great care and carry out many experiments to get it right. I adore their lustre tiles. They are so distinctive. We have their tiles in all our bathrooms and their Latitude tiles in our kitchen.They are distinctive and well made - feeling like artisan products. They work really hard to ensure the consistency of their product. On top of that, they have great customer and sales care. We had a query about sealing, they rang us back immediately. We also had a problem with ordering the wrong spec of replacement tiles. They sorted it out despite the fact the order was months old. This is a genuine, quality business based in the UK, not some anonymous warehouse. Some of the tiles are collectors items of the future as Keats said "a thing of beauty is a joy forever." I hope they continue long in business.

Can’t sing enough praises for this lovely company. Hand made tiles with wonderful glazes; the craftsmanship, the beauty, the customer service, and promptness. They pick your calls, endeavour to fulfil your wishes, advise you well. If only more companies had the same ethic.

Got the new Halycon sand tiles & they look great on the kitchen walls. The cracking in the glaze gives a great finish and really underlines the handmade nature of the products. Delighted!

I bought 800 of the anadulucia floor tiles to lay in the kitchen, unfortunately the colour was slightly off compared to the website photos…..however that being said the company could not have been better with collecting the old tiles and replacing with 800 of the tiles we ordered from a new batch….customer communication was excellent and I would not hesitate to order from them again….in fact as soon as my wife picks the tiles for the kitchen splash back they will be ordered from Marlborough
