My visit to Bayfields Opticians at Barnard Castle was excellent. I was greeted by friendly staff, and was offered a drink whilst waiting for my appointment. The surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and the eye-check very thorough. Everything was explained clearly. I needed new glasses and was kindly assisted in my selection of frames. The glasses were ready for collection and fitting very quickly. I would highly recommend Bayfields at Barnard Castle for a professional, friendly and efficient service.

Would thoroughly recommend Bayfields Opticians of Barnard Castle. Having moved into the area 3 years ago I've been delighted with the level of service offered every time. My sight needs are fairly complex, so it is reassuring to know I'm in good hands, whether for actual eye tests or choosing new frames and lenses. I have always found everyone there to be thoroughly professional, as well as courteous and kind in all their dealings with me - and they even manage to make the process of deciding on new glasses fun!

She spotted an eye issue that other opticians had overlooked (despite it most likely being present for a number of years) and promptly escalated the matter so I was seen by the hospital the next working day.
