Hpa 100 headphone amp upgraded to hpa200 se. Incredible upgrade!! Absolutely beyond belief. Brent advised me through the whole process, and upon delivery was simply speechless at the difference!! I cant say any more than that, speecless!!! It is superb. Makes a mokery of Sennheisers own 2000 grand amp and also the Questyle cma800 which are both on the bright side. For my personal liking. This is customer service at its very best!!!! Will be diing a full review as soon as time permits!!!

Fantastic experience!
I contacted Fidelity Audio as I was having some issues with my Reavon Blu ray players optical drive.

I'd seen Fidelity Audio crop up on a few forums regarding Reavon along with some highly praised reviews of Brent's equipment.

I contacted Brent who was very helpful , I packaged up my player and sent it over.

Brent repaired the disc drive which now runs silky smooth and is a world apart to how it was before.
I had some questions about modification parts and this was carried out after discussing with Brent how the player is used
I love movies and music so I'm always interested in improving my set up.

Brent is a true master when it comes to understanding the A/V world the amount of systems he has on his website makes for interesting reading ,his work is a testament to the years he's been active.
My player was returned with great care with all parts as I sent them.
I'm still running in components but after nearly 100 hours of use I'm already starting to see and hear improvements in my set up .

I contacted Brent regarding both a PSU, and an internal PCB board upgrade to replace the standard switch mode power supply to a linear one on my Bluesound Node n130.
He was immensely helpful. Explaining the options, and value in his bespoke kit V the cheaper Chinese and Polish alternatives. Also commenting on the British competitor products constructively, but realistically I felt...
His upgrade, especially if you go for the higher grade reference board and V2 PSU are though not cheap however. But after an open discussion I decided to order both.

I wanted to give an honest PROs and CONs on my experience:

PROs..
Great knowledge and customer engagement from Brent.
The kit arrived to agreed timescales, and the effort was clearly made to meet my needs on that.
The quality of the unit and upgraded board was very good. Sturdy and professional.
The sound after install was initially still strong. Brent said though, that this would improve further after many hours of "burn in"..... I have only had it 3 days, and at about 3-4 hours use a day. Hard to judge for now. But it's certainly no worse, and will give it multiple hours bed in to see how it pans out. To date quite happy. But want to see when/if it really expands the sound. Jury out as of now, as explained above. Sure it may take time ..

Cons...
Very few, but here is a few minor ones...
The upgrade was almost the same money as the N130... Plus it's a self install. So more expensive than most of the competitor upgrades and still a diy. So you have to deal with the reclosing of the node! The worst part of the install...though tbf Brent was happy to advise a technique....
The install instructions need updating though. Spoke to Brent on this. Confusion as to if you reinstall the existing rear metal brace at the new DC input end... The warning is to not do so, for fear of shorting the PCB... is a hang over from the Node 2i Brent said. But it was not clear at all, and caused confusion in the supposed N130 instructions.
The new PCB, in my case at least, wasn't drilled quite right. So the 4 holes on it were fractionally out of line to the case. Got it seated eventually. By "Jemmying" it a bit.....but that shouldn't have been really need, and left one retaining screw bit out of line by nesseccity..
The power cable supplied - think it's a 5 Amp C13 female. Is very very short. Fine if you are placing the PSU on a low rack. But I wasn't. So had to buy a longer one to place it where I needed. Plus ensure it was the correct C13/14 fit, and swap the standard 13 Amp fuse to the 5 Amp needed by the node. None of this a big deal. But didn't see why the supplied cable was so inflexibly short tbh?

Overall. Would I recommend. Yes, though time will tell on the sound improvements. But this is a very trustworthy and technically adept company. A few minor issues to maybe look at above. But it's definitely a quality setup.

I called asking about an issue with my inherited NAD 314 amp. I was given
brilliant advice on how to facilitate the problem without resorting to taking the unit in for a repair at a service center. Brent could not have been any more helpful, in these times it's reassuring that there are experts out there willing to share their knowledge.

Amazing set up of equipment in the show room. Brent certainly knows his stuff and his passion for getting the best sound in your ears is unquestionable. His explanation of the technical attributes of everything from CD players and amps, to speakers and the latest audio gadgetry helped me to understand where my money was being spent. I'll be back for sure!

Brent upgraded a quad 99 CD player fir me in 2009. It’s still going strong. I just taken it apart to do my own mods and am on this site because I am amazed at the quality of his work and it’s lasted all this time. Some one somewhere has criticised Brent for poor customer service . That’s not my experience. He literally spent hours on the phone with me after the upgrades explaining what he had done and giving me a electronics course. I was so amazed that it was possible to improve the sound that much I had to keep asking him questions which he sat there and answered over and over. So I have nothing but good to say about him. Please also be aware of his contributions to all the diy forums as well. Buy with confidence.
