Very quick service via Amazon Italia and resolved Customs difficulties for me at no extra charge. Unfortunately, the firmware on the drives was unsuitable and SurplusDrivesUK communicated well and offered to source alternatives which they did and again quickly shipped to Italy. Again, it seems that this particular type of Seagate drive has been produced in a number of different versions aligned to specific system manufacturers and so, once again, I could not get them to work. However, SurplusDrivesUK apologised, offered a full refund and didn't require me to endure the hassle of returning the drives. I'm posting here to advise others of the exemplary service values provided by this company and its staff, in particular Sam, who couldn't have been more charming! Will definitely choose them again in future!

I purchased some replacement units for my HP server and received the wrong units for my order. Contacted Surplus about this and it turned out I was the one who accidently made the incorrect purchase as I had an older generation server running and ordered generation 8 hard drives. They offered the best support I could ask for and had the correct units delivered next day before noon without any hassle. Raid is now running 100% health now and will happily order from them again. They also told me that I have a 1 year warranty with them whereas I have seen other sellers provide no more than 30 days, 60 days if lucky!
