Bought an alternator that stopped charging after a 12 mile trip, every test I was able to do with a multimeter showed it was not working and it was getting incredibly hot.

Returned it and was only issued a 50% refund because it had a small amount of oil on the outside where I handled it and then claimed it was unsellable.

Guys a total scam artist.

I bought an alternator from this shop and it caused errors on the dash . The alternator was putting out too much voltage which was causing the errors (this alternator was purchased to fix the OEM alternator that was no longer charging the car). I advised seller that the alternator was putting out too much voltage and they tried to blame the car saying all alternators are bench tested before they are sent out.

If I was to have followed their advice and get the car investigated I would have spend a lot of money looking for a fault on the car that does not exist and then still have thenlm try and rip me off when I returned the faulty part.

I am not a mechanic or anything I knew they were talking rubbish so I purchased a refurbished OEM alternator from another company which fixed my issues, further proving thetly sent me a faulty part.

The seller then tried to claim I must have bought the wrong alternator even though they confirmed is was correct at point of purchase and it being the same spec as the one that fixed my issue.

Returned as faulty via Ebay returns only for them to say it was bench tested again and it wasn't faulty but because it had oil on it it could not be resold. They only refunded 50% because of this, luckily ebay refunded the rest straight away.

I send the seller images of the dash warnings and voltage output they refused to acknowledge the item was faulty, even when I pointed out that the refurbished item fixed my issue.

Looking through negative reviews on here and ebay this is not uncommon when somone has had a faulty item.

Positives are that the delivery was quick and returning the item on Ebay was straight forward.
They also replied to messages and didn't ignore me.

Do not use this company, scam!! They send faulty parts then refund only half as its ‘dirty’ ffs I had it fitted and it won’t turn over the engine. I have a report saying cheap product with cheap parts that’s not powerful enough for the car!! Don’t use there are better companies out there. EBay now investigating. Lastly, they asked me to mark the part as ‘wrong part’ which I didn’t as it fitted but faulty.

What can I say about this company. I am a local mechanic just started up on my own in the last 12 months and they have always had what I wanted… and at a great price. Last few jobs I have done have been belt kits, clutches, and a couple of starter motors and every time they had it in stock ready for me to collect! They even do solid conversion flywheel kits complete which is music to all mechanics ears! 10/10 to all 3 lads that work there in store!

Great technical support to quickly identify a replacement alternator for my classic car, next day delivery, and competitive price. Also buying via their eBay shop site is easy and transaction protected by PayPal. I will certainly be buying off them again for other parts went needed.

It's a real shame that these guys have some negative reviews on here confused by another namesake "Andy's Autoparts" NOT in Oldham, and therefore their collective reviews apear less of a Star Rating than I feel they should have - a full 5 STARS from me for their great service and my buying experience.

Andy's Auto Parts in Oldham have been an awful company to deal with, I ordered an alternator which when I had a garage fit it it didn't work. I returned the item and they attempted to give me a 50% discount (despite it having a 12 month warranty) and then quite rudely tried to blame me by saying I'd ordered the wrong part! I had ordered the correct part and this situation could have been handled and resolved so much more politely and professionally. I'd strongly recommend going elsewhere, if they treated their customers with a little more courtesy and respect then they wouldn't have such a low google rating. please also disregard any offensive responses to this post they write as it's highly unlikely to be truthful.

Company is a joke. Sold me faulty alternator. Unfortunately my v6 car is harder to replace it so it was expensive to get done. After fitting we found out alternator sending wrong signal to ecu. They even try argue it is faulty ecu. 2 garages have checked and it was faulty alternator. Charging well but faulty code on dash. They refunded only half of the amount so i lost loads of money. Robbing company. Avoid at all costs. Bog shops are more expensive but never have single issue with ECP or GT.

I don’t usually leave reviews but these guys are really useless.

Ordered a wing mirror from this supplier. 2 weeks go by and nothing, they claim on their site 2-3 days delivery. I contact them he then tries to tell me they need 2 days to process and 5 days to deliver and he is checking with courier. It’s now been a month, still nothing or any reply.

What a waste of time and liars. DO NOT USE
