Great venue for gigs. Seen a lot of old Punk and Prog bands here over the years. Not a great range of beers tbh, but that's easily solved by drinking beforehand elsewhere. Good views of the stage even when packed.

Great venue for a gig - we went to see laibach and had upstairs non allocated seating. The view was great even though we had seating to the left and at the back. Acoustics excellent. Security staff helpful and friendly and upstairs bar not to busy . Ladies loos though had 2 loos and 6 sinks - seemed the wrong way round

Great venue.
Quite intimate, great sound system. Upstairs seating was comfortable with loads of legroom.
Upstairs barman was great, even holding the doors open when we had drinks in both hands.
Great gig by Jesse Malin.
Very convenient connection to London Bridge station using #43 bus.
Would visit again.

An amazing show by Asturian neofolk artist Rodrigo Cuevas, completely ruined by the poorest bar in the UK… keep reading for more!

Pros:
- Niche independent shows, like the one I attended - truly remarkable!
- Free parking right outside the venue (after 6pm or all day on Sundays).
- Nice & kind staff.
- Red Stripe beer on tap - a rare treat!

Cons:
- No Hendrix or any other non-cheap gins available.
- No AMEX taken!!! Using my money straight from my account felt like going to a dodgy off license in the middle of the night - terrible!
- Mixers on tap. You know these dirty taps you used to encounter in every pub in the Midlands in the 90s or anywhere nowadays in places like Manchester? Gross af.
- Zero set design or scenography. Just Rodrigo, his amazing outfits and his abanico. Even the band were all wearing black - looked very poor in terms of visuals.

It's a hall. Events are held there and have been for many years, so they know what they're doing. What more do you need to know? Toilets were relatively clean. Bar service was efficient, but prices are high.

Absolutely fantastic venue mostly due to the lovely staff, I’ve never felt so welcomed and everyone was so polite. Drinks prices did not feel hideously expensive for London / gig venue. Our evening was saved when my husband who has a pain condition thought we’d have to leave as he couldn’t stand, the head of security arranged for us to go upstairs to the seating area even though our tickets were for downstairs, honestly saved our night.
