Went to the cafe, which should be lovely as overlooking the fields, but tables were not cleared, not sure why when staff come out with food they do not take dirty plates back into the kitchen. We had sandwiches which were overpriced, for what you get. They serve a small salad on the side, with dressing but no cutlery. Just not very good, which is a shame.

It’s a real shame to have to rate this place so badly, which is at first appearance a lovely place to visit. The farm shop is great and staff all very friendly, but avoid the restaurant at all costs.

While in line to order a cake fell from its stand onto the dirty worktop, the waitress proceeded to pick it up with both bare hands complete with fingers in the cream topping, replacing it and continuing to serve a slice. Baffling hygiene

That incident aside it came to £23 for a salad, 1 coffee and 1 slice of cake (which was £6 alone). The salad arrived immediately with no cutlery and no drinks. The waitress said both would be with us straight away. 15 minutes passed and my partner completed her salad, though still no sign of the drinks. I asked at the counter, they said they were being prepared now.

Another 5 minutes passed, the counter is clear of people waiting and staff are stood around chatting, we approached the manager on duty who is stood with hands behind his head carrying out some kind of stretching routine, tells my partner ‘its been 12 minutes not 20’ forgetting I have the time of payment on my phone, showing no sign of apology. The coffee and cake was eventually refunded and a free slice given as well, but the pricey salad was not

It is a basic of hospitality that drinks ordered should be served before food. At these extortionate prices such service should be a given, failing that a simple apology would go a long way. I would avoid this place if you value your financial stability, enjoy professional service & hygiene and prefer your cake fingerprint free & your food served with beverages ordered.

Pumpkin picking at the farm was great, with multiple fields full of pumpkins to choose from. The poly tunnel had tables set up with pumpkins which had been sorted by variety and there were stations set up where the kids could take photos next to the hay bales and halloween decorations. My toddler had a great time his favourite thing was the tractor ride to the second field. The farm shop was awesome too with lots of fresh produce at reasonable prices.

Came for breakfast which we’ve had before and I wished to swap black pudding for beans instead, I was abruptly told no and “that’s what I’ve been told” in a rude manner, I did explain they’ve done it before I was surprised as beans are less than pudding so couldn’t see the issue. I paid a lot for this breakfast and it’s very disappointing to not be able to make a small change and felt as tho it was serve discretion if a swap is made. The man was polite but the lady wasn’t.

Visited here today and love all the produce in the shop. Everything lovely and good quality.
Then the icing on the cake was visiting the restaurant, the meals were plentiful and delicious. Good to have fresh vegetables served with the meal.
The staff were efficient and friendly.
Definitely visit again.

Visited today mainly to look at the produce shop. It is clear that the fresh produce is good quality. I was impressed by the butchers counter that offered a good selection of cuts of meats.
What shocked me was the prices.
The strawberries were over £13 per kg with a small punnet costing over £8.
Aldi are offering quality British strawberries for just over £5 per kg. Enough said!
We decided to try the on site restaurant.
They offered a varied menu including a good selection of homemade cakes. We opted for the breakfast menu.
We ordered 2 mini breakfasts and 2 coffees.......£29.80!
The breakfasts were ok and well presented, however, I'm not sure they were worth the money at over £10 each.
I did notice that several customers pointed out to staff that their orders were incorrect. In fairness the staff dealt with this in a polite professional manner. Not sure what the issues were there.
In conclusion its a pleasant place to visit but a bit pricey both at the shop and in the restaurant. If that doesn't matter to you then I would recommend a visit. If prices do matter then there are other places just as nice but more reasonably priced.

Great place to buy your plants .
I always have my hanging baskets from them and they never disappoint me. Richard is very helpful , you ask him anything about plants and he would guide and help you with information as much.
Amber went out of her way to sort it out when i had a little issue with my order and even helped me to carry my stuff to the car because it was heavy. Thank you.

Well i love going here and i except that prices are higher in the farm shop than the average supermarkets.
However i was disappointed in the food in the cafe, me and my husband were not very hungry so we decided to share a sandwich.and a portion of chips ( we both had tea ) when it came it was normal sliced brown bread but we had 3 quarters and not the normal 4 quarters that we generally call a "sandwich"!!! Why is it is my question. If they take a quarter of everyone is it so they can make up extra sandwiches for others which helps cut costs ? but at almost £10 for a sandwich with a tiny bit of salad and about 8 crisps i personally think this is mean and wrong , will it be a half of a sandwich next i wonder ?
Im fed up of feeling generally short changed in places these days. Maybe i should have said something there and then but i didn't....what do you say ?

Go up
