I ordered my shokbox pro towards the end of last year, I totally understand the issues they faced with getting the product out, but had to borrow or hire other boxes for trips I should have had my box in time for. Communication is very poor, unless they are sending out a very wordy generic group message / newsletter. I finally received the box and did a bit of a video for people to see.

The premium box was exactly what I was looking for, and performed really well at its task. Product quality seemed to match the specs and advertising, it was easy to pack, it protected our bikes without any additional padding or bubble wrapping needed, rolled easily on hard surfaces, and the handle locations made it easy enough for us to move them safely up and down escalators at various train stations across Switzerland and heave on and off trains with steps up or large gaps to the platform. The oversized luggage guy at our departing airport seemed impressed by them too if that counts for anything. The one downside to my experience was that it took a really long time for them to ship to me in the US, around 5 months. Josh at Shokbox was responsive to my emails and tried to keep me informed when I checked in, but I got pretty anxious leading up to our departure date. In the end they got them to us in time which is really all that matters. Just make sure you talk to them first if you have time constraints. I have no experience with other boxes, but I can recommend these.

We recently purchased two Shokbox, we have done one trip from Gatwick to Mallorca and have been very impressed with them. We have used other bike boxes but found the design features on the shokbox were superior. They are extremely easy to manoeuver through the airport, we managed a shokbox and a large suitcase each. Here's looking forward to testing them out some more! :0)

I also have ordered and payed in advance a Shokbox Pro in October 2023. I understood the circumstances and problems which they had to get the parts delivered. I also was very flexible and waited patiently enough, now I have to rent a bike box for my upcoming trips for the first week of May on my additional costs of course, when I should have my bike box in hands long time ago.
They moved the delivery date month by month. I tried several times to get a fix delivery date by e-mailing them. But no response, only another general mail which tells us that they are doing the best.
But this don’t help.
Meanwhile it is also too late for alternatives or trying to buy another bike box from another brand as I already pre-payed it in advance and I also asked them for the refund so that I can do that, but again no response. I also noticed that they shut off the Web site. I guess they can't hold up with the complaints!! It is an absolute mess!!

I have just returned from the French Alps and hired a Shokbox from my local bike shop. I have previously used hard shell bike boxes and have travelled with others who have used either hard of soft shell. Shokbox is by far and away the best box I have used or seen. It’s extremely protective, can be packed in 2 minutes, has plenty of internal padding and locks very easily. Also it’s very easy to wheel across the car park and airport lounge and remains stable at all times. It fits into an estate or a medium saloon car. If you are worried about potential bike damage in transit this is the box for you. It will give you 100% piece of mind.

There's lots of choice out there but as a product designer I'm quite particular about design features and how things are made. I've also borrowed and hired other branded boxes before. I took the plunge and bought a black classic and wheel bags. This box is extremely well made, robust and packed with design features which other boxes lack. The luggage tag slot, the recessed hinges, the wheel bag locators, good quality castors, the list goes on. Well done Shokbox, you should be proud of your work. Thanks for a good service and I would recommend to anyone.
