Had 2 minor repairs to dinghy sails recently, brilliant speed in turn around job in time for weekend racing.

Fantastic service, keeping my old sails serviceable at very reasonable prices indeed. Restiched my jib uv strip and added a leech line to my baggy main sail. Also replaced the reefing cringles. Fast turnround and friendly. Very highly recommended!

Unfortunately, this was a very poor experience from beginning to end. I am not inclined to leave reviews but felt I had to. It took 3 emails over a few months, asking for a quote for my Tideway 14, before I got a response. I was advised it would take 3-4 weeks to make the sails and placed the order. It took 7 weeks and a phone call from me before I was told they were 'ready' with no explanation as to why it had taken that long. I had left the existing sail as a pattern. When I picked them up and got them home, the tack eyelet was in the wrong place for the boom; there was one less reef lashing eyelet; there was one less luff lashing eyelet; the luff eyelets were smaller than the originals and the agreed tell-tails were missing. The sails were collected from my home to be corrected (where possible) with a promise they would be back by the weekend. (I decided to stick with the one less reefing lashing and luff lashing). They weren't delivered. Supposedly a problem with a courier. Another promise to deliver them on the Tuesday. They weren't delivered. Another problem with the courier. I went to get them in the end. (£20 given to me for a two hour/80 mile round trip). Still the placing of the tack had not been changed and I had another hour to fill while this was finally done. When I said that I had found it all a very poor experience, there was nothing that Batt sails offered to 'make it right' and seemed affronted that I should even have suggested such a thing! There are other sail-makers in the area!

Could not believe how little I was charged for the work undertaken to renovate a topper sail. Really grateful, especially in current economic climate.
