In late February I ordered an 8'x8' wooden shed via Amazon. Due to an ongoing health issue I decided to take advantage of the installation and fitting service offered and ordered that at the same time at a cost of £250.

Due to some issues with Amazon I was forced to contact Assembly Angels to clarify the installation date. At 9:30 this morning I was phoned by a friendly and very pleasant lady named Kelly (the reason this company is getting any stars at all to be honest) who confirmed that a workman would be with me on Thursday as booked. At this point I asked how many workmen they would be sending as my email from Amazon only mentioned one and they assembly instructions clearly requires two. Kelly checked and confirmed that they only had one man booked. I explained that the job needed two people and that the Amazon T&C's state that the shed would be assembled as per the manufacturers instructions. Therefore if only one man arrived on Thursday I would send him away and complain to Amazon. Kelly saw my point and agreed to check with her boss and get back to me. About 30 minutes later she returned and told me that there was nobody available to help on Thursday and according to her boss, even if there had been, they would only send one man anyway. And he had done jobs like this on his own many times before. I told Kelly that I didn't think this was acceptable for three reasons 1) The health and safety of the workman 2) The potential for damage to my new and rather expensive shed and 3) That failure to install as per manufacturers instructions would invalidate my warranty. Kelly seemed to understand this. I also explained that should I need to cancel the order with Amazon I would explain exactly why I was doing it and what her boss had said. I gave the company an hour to call me back to sort this issue before I contacted Amazon. They did not get back so I cancelled my order and let Amazon know why.

We cannot find enough adjectives to describe the excellent service we have received from Assembly Angels in assembling our flat pack furniture. Best to say their service for us has been "Exceptionally Excellent". That is the same from first enquiry to final completion of the work. All the staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the process and the products they are dealing with. We could not ask for anything more.
Where they can help they do, but do not make any unrealistic promises. Recently they came to my rescue when another contractor let me down badly and we were astounded at the level of service and quality of help we were given and all for the normal rate for the job. Thank you and Well Done! ANGELS! We would never consider using another Contractor for Flat Pack assembly. Thank you! Mick and Jacqueline Newman.

Avoid at all cost! This business is terrible! They have no clue what they are doing and no concept of customer service. Unfortunately I cannot give 0 stars.

First appointment cancelled at last minute so that was a wasted day off!

Then I’m waiting in for the rescheduled appointment and get a phone call from the fitter asking what it is that needs to be assembled. This was agreed, booked and paid for a while ago so I would expect them to know this. The guy said his supervisor had sent him out but not told him what he was meant to do! I suggested he phone his supervisor and find out. He called me back 30 minutes later and was still none the wiser. So, not wanting to waste another day, I sent him a text with full details and a link to the assembly instructions. He responded saying it is a 2 man job and so he can’t do it. I would have to rebook another slot. I have told them where to stick the assembly instructions.

There are plenty of other companies out there that offer this service. I suggest you avoid assembly angels and use someone else.

On my recent booking they sent Ali who did the job quickly and he also kindly helped me move some things around due to I had an injury. I have used this company several times and always enjoyed the service and price. Well not anymore. We have just been charged £30 per unit built (x6) and the units only cost £55 each (Ikea Alex 5 Drawer units). We should have been charged £109.2 including VAT and we were charged £180 incl VAT. When i complained about this the company stated that they had changed their pricing since last year which i disputed as i placed an order on the 19th of January 2019 and paid the original prices. They said that they were honoring the previous years prices. This was not communicated when i placed the booking in January. Further to this if you call the automated switchboard - they are still advertising the original price structure of £25 call out and 20% of the total value of the goods to be assembled. The image I have posted is from today 01/09/2019 which STILL states the original pricing of £25 call out and 20% of the total value of the goods to be assembled. This is completely unacceptable and I would not recommend using them based on their ethics and poor customer services.

Assembly angels absolutely stand by their name . Anthony came on time ( poor thing has to wait outside for long time ) & did the work efficiently & keep me updated with the work & advice me on shelves in my cupboards. He was so professional , friendly. He went above & beyond & then some to help me out when sofa people damaged my flooring & fixed it for me & didn’t even charge me for that . I literally cried afterwards becoz I have been ripped off so many time & its very rarely some stranger helps you out . Thank you thank you so so much for everything you did for us . Once I am sorted I need to book an another appointment soon .

My sons were too busy to put my furniture together and rather than wait I went with the recommendation from Ikea to have this company assemble them.
Both fitters were friendly and polite...the actual job of fitting the furniture up went extremely well. I am really grateful, pleased and relieved that I ended up going with this company.
