Discovered this beautifully renovated theatre in Braintree recently when we went to the ‘Made in Tennessee’ concert/show.
The theatre is very well run, with lots of friendly staff, super clean toilets and a cool bar.
The show was excellent, great performers and an incredible song list. Right up there with a show from London’s west end.

Who knew the place which was once a hall for fairs and the like is now a live venue, the new bar area is good, outside decking makes good use of space, sadly the audio of the venue when GLC played made it so you could barely hear the lyrics, all the other levels were great

Beautiful Victorian building, stunning architecture and a real community feel. With NHS blood donations regularly, and the home to local dance schools, the Institute is giving back to the community. Looking forward to seeing it after the renovation and attending some of the new shows! New era I’m sure - very exciting!
