Nothing I could fault having visited here, we were made to feel welcome right from entering, boardgames available to make sure you can entertain yourselves while you wait. The atmosphere was fantastic a nice cozy Vibe that felt lovely but still allowed you to hear each other whenever having conversation.
Food was excellent and very fairly priced I will absolutely be back again

That was a great experience. The food was tasty and colourful. The host was helpful and entertaining, to say the least. Barbosa is a small place, but it's clean and tidy. I would recommend this place. 10 out of 10. I'll be coming back.

We found this place while we were on holiday. What a gem! It is a very small restaurant but the atmosphere was great. There are games that adults and children can play, a good variety of local drinks and amazingly fresh, tasty and delicious food l. The only criticism I could find is the lack of a children's menu.
Mark was our waiting staff and he was lovely. Definitely on our list for next years holiday

What a hidden gem this is!!! The food is absolutely exceptional, I can't recommend the Steak Cheese tacos and the Prawn and Crayfish tacos enough!
I can't recommend this place enough! The atmosphere was great, and the staff go above and beyond for you. Mark was incredibly friendly and welcoming as soon as we came through the door. We can't wait to come back!

Got a last minute takeaway from Barbosa the other night, they managed to squeeze it in even though they were extremely busy. Absolutely delicious! They even made a dish off menu for my fussy daughter which she absolutely demolished! Pictures probably don’t do it justice but the whole meal was amazing! Fantastic food, fantastic place, fantastic staff. Highly recommend this place for a takeaway and even better if you can get a table and eat in.

We decided to try Barbosa for our anniversary dinner and have to say this was the best anniversary dinner ever!

My other half booked a table for us via the website and called in to reserve a table. The website is easy to navigate and it’s easy to get in contact to reserve a table. Since Barbosa is a small but very popular place, I highly recommend you to book a table to avoid disappointment.

It’s a very cosy and relaxing restaurant. Compared to most restaurants you don’t get this feeling of people constantly rushing back and forth which was very nice. The booths make it very comfortable and private. I love the floral decor there and the unique lighting.

The food there looks amazing and is so delicious too! Everything on the menu looks good. We really enjoyed the food and were so stuffed !

Connor the waiter / barman was very friendly and very attentive. When we walked in he created us straight away and made sure the table was clean and presented us the menu. The restaurant was full when we arrived. When one of the tables in a booth finished we asked whether we could move from the table we were at to the booth as it’s more comfy there. Connor then gave the booth a quick clean and moved us. He tend told us that we could win a lemon ? cello if we can tell him what movies all the cars ? in the picture frames are from. I loved how the owner made this restaurant relaxing but yet interactive too. My partner and I had fun figuring out what movies ? these cars were from and managed to get them all right. Since I already had a lychee martini ? I didn’t want the lemon cello so I asked whether I could have a coke instead as I’m quiet a lightweight. I was so thankful that I could have a soft drink instead the shot. We just had a wonderful experience at Barbosa!

Whether you are visiting the Isle of Wight or live here, you have to try this place! We live here on the Isle of Wight and have restaurants ourselves. This is definitely my new favourite restaurant and there is something also we have learned that we could change at our restaurants.

Visited for drinks. The staff were lovely, despite being run off their feet. Although the place was fully booked for those eating, we were able to perch on stools for drinks & order a generous portion of delicious hot brownie with ice cream. Observably family-friendly & attentive.

We were in the Island a few weeks ago and decided to go there to get some food as it looked great. The place was empty at the time and we asked if we could get a table, but we were told that everything was booked for the evening, sorry. Which is FINE, but just the lack of interest in the customer and not even offering the option to take away or to say 'ok if you finish in an hour we can offer this table' (as it was 6pm and some tables were not booked until 7 or 7.30)... Or just saying hope you can come another day.

Just poor customer service IMO.
