I had a fantastic experience at Wickes in Tunbridge Wells, thanks to Ellie and Steve. They were incredibly helpful in guiding me through the process of choosing the right wall panels for my project. Their product knowledge was impressive, and they offered great recommendations for installation. Ellie and Steve went above and beyond, ensuring I had all the information I needed. It made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend their excellent customer service

Rang Tunbridge Wells to check if item available to view this was confirmed. Arrived in Kitchen/ Bathroom area no one else around except two guys on computers . Having not been acknowledged by either we endeavoured to find worktop samples on our own. No joy after 10mins still no acknowledgement until a young lady appeared & tried to assist. Having obviously heard the exchanges guy didn't help until the lady asked him. Clearly annoyed he dismissed us to the lower floor when the lady took over with directions. Guess what! No item at all. The lady on the front desk tried to assist but unfortunately had no knowledge of the item but looked it up- " we don't hold samples to view, maybe go on the manufacturers website & enquire." Joy. Samples will be sent from manufacturer to us. Will we be putting our order through Wickes? No.
I suggest staff have training in new products especially in the area where sales are made.
The kitchen design gentlemen require customer care training it takes a few seconds to raise one's head to greet a customer telling them you will assist shortly. Kitchen design consultants? I think not! clearly not offering all products.
If I can gain manufacturers samples why can't they.
Won't be returning any time soon. /

We spent over £40,000 with Wickes for an all in one solution providing new Kitchen, Bathroom and Flooring in July 2022. It was substandard (and indeed dangerous) and Wickes have been dealing with our complaint since shortly after installation. It has still not been resolved. Wickes appear to have pretty much accepted what they need to do to resolve the situation, but it is dragging on and on and on and there is still no date for when the remedial works will start, and exactly what will be done (and how much more it is going to cost us!!). Wickes customer service have been dealing with this issue for approaching 18 months now. It just moves so slowly and our confidence they'll ever actually do what needs to be done is low.
I know the faux response we'll get from Wickes - along the lines of "please reach out to us privately" - we've been dealing with you privately for too long now and you're not dealing with it as you should!!!

Mixed bag, but not great on the whole.
When we first went in, one saleman was saying some items were cheap and nasty, then when we suggested others, he was making out that they were very expensive and we probably couldn't afford. Didn't realise they checked our finances before we walked in. He didn't bother to recommend anything in between.
We went back and spoke to someonw else who was incredibly helpful, but now they have our money, it's pretty clear that they don't want to help any more. Have a small issue that we have emailed and called about, no response despite them saying so.
We're still in a position to refund and go to Howdens, so this possibly is becoming more and more likely.
Happy to amend review after some good service and them doing what they say they would.
It's a shame, because we used them years ago and they were great. I guess management and staff have all changed and not for the better.

After waiting over a month for a Saturday design appointment at Wick's Tunbridge Wells I was called 48 hours before to ask if I could move it forwards a couple of hours - I'm afraid I couldn't.

When the designer discovered this he informed me he couldn't do a design anyway from my plans. After been assured by Wick's booking department that working from plans is not a problem (and it hasn't been for any other kitchen or bathroom retailer who I am working with). The melt down of the designer on the phone before my appointment was of the charts and clearly he hadn't bothered to read the documents I'd attached or even use the zoom function to read the dimensions.

After I was called "love" on repeated occasions in a derogatory tone he hung up to get his store manager to call me back. Which he dually did (my male relation had also phoned in between for the call back) but unfortunately I answered the mangers call back.

The store manager was patronisingly telling me the same thing while both he and designer continued to ignore what I was saying when passing on the advice of my advice I was passing on from my builder/plumber/ architect regarding the pipes were to be placed (anywhere in this type of flat pack construction where the ground work hasn't even started).

I offered to take responsibility for any issues with the order only to be informed by the manager that the "customer isn't always right, it's the building professional that is". I asked if he would like a man to come and talk to him - as sometimes that's a help and as I'd been rather spoken down I did wonder if as a woman I wasn't making myself clear. This didn't help either and the manager couldn't understand why I would ask that question of take that tone with them. After patronising me, mansplanning and disregarding everything I said he refused to work with me and slammed the phone down before I could even ask how to make a complaint.

I'm sure that the pair of them will club together and say I'm an irate person who couldn't comprehend what they were saying - but I've not struggled to work with any other suppliers on this project.

I would advise the Wicks finds sometime to train to give there manager a training course in how to talk to customers in the 21st century because as the manger said "it works both ways".

"Housebarrassment" more like staffebrassment for Wicks.

Useless customer service - Wickes still clueless when it comes to online ordering. I ordered Posts and Spikes - Posts delivered but no spikes - what use is that? Delivery driver acknowledged there was a problem with stock - said he'd be back next day. Nothing next day. Chased customer service by email (phone queue was 1-hour) and told store would call next day - heard nothing. Order Tracking still says spikes were delivered with posts. So I ordered some more and paid the extra £4 delivery charge. This time they arrived but maybe I'm just a grumpy old man - I wasn't happy to see how much plastic bubble wrap was used to protect my four fence spikes from getting scratched in transit!
UPDATE: 2 weeks later I've had six emails from different customer service agents saying they are "working to resolve your enquiry."
