I recently attended a Saturday workshop, in this beautiful farm setting, as a surprise birthday present. The staff were very good at teaching, demonstrating, helping and supporting us to get hands on and find our own flair with each project. The food was delicious and the coffee and cakes; all vetted for my personal allergy issues. I ended up with more clay on my face than on the wheel at one point, but I loved having a go and laughed a lot. A gentle, absorbing, therapeutic experience, so I highly recommend this place and will be back.

Lovely peaceful location, excellent facilities, very tasty home cooked food

Our tutor Africa was friendly, patient and knowledgeable - we made a vase, a bowl and 3 small pots which was great fun!

I highly recommend this experience day to give you a feel for hand building and throwing on the wheel - brilliant workshop!

What a brilliant day i went with my daughter who enjoyed the fabulous day, Africas instructions easy to understand learnt so much during the day. Pot throwing using the potters wheel is so much harder than you expect but managed to produce 3 pots each. Lunch was very tasty and filling and sitting in the sun at lunchtime made chilling time perfect. Highly recommend give it a ho, relaxing atmosphere and we are intending on booking a course later this year. Can’t wait to get out finished products and return to the studio for more creativity and lessons. Thanks to the whole team for a brilliant day !!!

Fantastic taster class with very friendly knowledgeable staff. Enjoyed every minute and produced 2 pots on the wheel and a vase. Can't wait to see them with glaze on. Would highly recomend the studio in a beautiful setting with a bit of a magical mystery tour. Many thanks for making it a special time.

I enjoyed a fantastic Pottery Experience Day. The Team were very supportive as I was a complete beginner and had never thrown clay on a wheel before. We got to make a dish, a vase and as many pots as we could throw. I have not had this much creative fun in ages. Combined with an absolutely delicious lunch, I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone. May I suggest that a step by step laminated worksheet on how to throw a pot would be helpful to refer to whilst throwing.

We had a wonderful morning at The Ceramic Studio for a taster session. The online booking was easy. We were a group of seven so we could stay together through both types of pottery making. I was amazed at how quickly we could be hands on with the pottery throwing and the staff were really friendly in helping with questions and guidance.
It was really good value for money for a few hours experience, delicious tea/coffee and biscuits were provided and the best part is that we got to take home some beautiful work (collected a few weeks later after firing and glazing had taken place). I would go again.

What a fantastic morning we had! 3 ladies attended as a birthday treat for 1 of them. Highly recommend trying this taster session, the 2 tutors made each process amazing and supported you all the way. First working on a slab of clay then after a break moving on to the potters wheel. Would love to go again and look forward to collecting our pieces! Thank you for a great session ?

Everyone was so welcoming and lovely! The experience was so much fun and relaxing. Amazing lunch, good coffee and amazing teaching. I am definitely coming back to do more!
