Very nice small Bakery , stuff very polite . Bought pistachio croissant was really looking forward to eat it. Was really good but it's hard to call it pistachio it was never mentioned it was actually almond flavour with pistachio sparkling on the top. Unfortunately almond cream is so strong in taste you couldn't taste any pistachios at all. In overall was tasty but not what I was expecting and definitely not what ordered.

Adorable patisserie- won the best in south England (I think) last year! We had a lemon meringue tart that was great. The other pastries looked delicious as well. So many options it was hard to decide! Would also recommend the other family business Thyme & Lovage cafe

Absolute fantastic service, never mind the adorable food!
We had 8 afternoon tea’s (5x standard, 1x gf, 2x veggie) for a birthday celebration. To say that the result was way beyond what was expected is certainly an understatement.
Well worth sampling for yourselves.

We recently used Hugo Lovage Patisserie for our wedding cake and they did the most wonderful looking and tasting cake. From my very loose brief they created a cake that was even better than I could have imagined. It was delicious too!

I bought the goody bag by Too good to go app. I never visited this small shop before, so I wanted to try it.
Unexpectedly they have so beautiful cakes and macarons even sell coffee.
Staff is polite and keep the shop really clean.
The reason for -1 star is I couldn't see the name of cakes and prices.
Bit scared to buy more cakes without knowing their price...

The most exquisite patisserie! We were only in the area for a long weekend but after our first taste of Hugo's egg custard with the creme brulée top we found ourselves unable to resist going back for more!

Best latte in the village! In my two weeks in Burford I tested many of the offerings and they all surpassed my expectations. Staff is delightful. I stopped in every morning! Mary❤️

Whilst travelling through Burford on my way home I noticed this lovely patisserie. The details on the A stand outside were enough to draw me in. It was late in the day and the shelves were a little bare, but that didn't stop me picking 3 exquitely prepared pastries. I took them home and shared these straight away. They were truly delicious. The service in the store from Cindy who I suspect had been on her feet all day was 1st class, warm and welcoming. This won't be my last visit, and I highly recommend fellow lovers of all things sweet, delicate and delicious to pay a visit
