Able Joinery fitted a couple of composite doors for some outbuildings a few years back and I've been so pleased with the doors over that time that I asked them back to replace the front door to the house. The entire process from start to finish could not have been more efficient or professional. Five stars to Karl and the team. Great communication, turns up when agreed, sound advice on options to consider, and timely ordering and fitting. Great price, great service and couldn't be more delighted with the new front door. A real pleasure to do business with. It's good to support local firms and I couldn't recommend more highly.

We used Able Joinery a few weeks ago for a new hard wood front door.
The original quote was provided very quickly and we were pleased with the price.
Karl had the door made to an image we had found - with a couple of changes he suggested (he is super knowledgeable about wood and joinery!).
The install team were the most professional, polite and tidy guys that we have had working at the house. Fabulous service all round from the whole team - i could not recommend more highly.
The door is absolutely perfect and exactly what we wanted.

We had used Karl at Able Joinery quite a few years ago and recently needed new doors, hinges and handles and our very squeaky landing also needed to be reboarded. Although Karl did not do the work, the two young men who were with us for a week (Aaron and Luke I think) were very amiable and unobtrusive. They were respectful and kept themselves to themselves and although there was quite a lot of mess while they were working on the doors in each room (I don't think we had quite appreciated what a big job this was!) when they left at the end of the day the rooms were spotless and you would never know they had been there. This in itself is remarkable - usually after workmen have been in we have a huge clean up job on our hands to get things back to a liveable condition! The doors have been hung perfectly, all previous holes and damage to the architraves made good and painted and the piece de resistance is the utterly non-squeaky floorboards on the landing, all ready for carpeting.

I contacted Able Joinery via email, and they replied promptly. Karl arranged a visit. He arrived on time, listened to my requirements, took pictures and notes. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. I accepted the quotation and agreed a date for the work. The work included minor repairs to double glazed windows and door, refitting internal doors, replacing blown double glazed unit, replacing broken letter box, supplying and fitting replacement door handles to existing doors and providing and fitting two new internal oak doors. Luke, Arron and Jamie who did the work were very polite, friendly and efficient and respectful. They cleaned up after the work was completed, and ensured I was happy with all the work. I am absolutely delighted with the work. I can thoroughly recommend Able Joinery and all the staff.
